Today I have received a call from a different number. Same scam to get a grant for $7000 they requested $310.00.

I constantly get calls from this, no one talks and when they do they're trying to sell me porn or try to have inappropriate conversations with me. I recently found out that if you call (888) 382-1222 which is the FTC & you put your number on the "Do Not Call" list they will stop calling within a few days, & it will prevent other companies like this one from calling you.

I keep receiving calls from this number but do not return the call.  On occasion, I've  accidentally answered it and before they can say anything, I tell them to take me off their call list . . . which never happens! So frustrating and intrusive!!

I keep receiving calls from different strange numbers asking for Amanda Burns.  The last time I received a call from this number I asked them to remove my number from their list IMMEDIATELY as there is still NO Amanda at this number after about 100 calls for her over the last 2 months and they said "WHY?".  I am so sick of these scam callers!!!

Try asking those yahoos what their address is..  They give you a PA zip code of 17603 for Washington DC!  and an address of 202 triple 8 222 4431 Victor Field Road!  Like any federal government agency would be working on a weekend anyway.  And no one at that number can speak proper English.  They sound to me like they are in India or something.  Never give any personal information to someone that calls you!  And don't call them back and give it either.  Do not ever give someone money when they claim they will provide you with more money back!  You are better getting 1% interest in a bank savings account

Just received a call from someone in a VERY LOUD call center- they sound like they are all sitting on top of one another, outside.  Background noise was horrible and the person calling you could barely understand due to their strong accent.  Same thing - government wants to send me a $7000 grant.  She said, "I bet you are surprised and would like to know more."  When I responded with, "No, I'm certain this is a scam,"  she hung up immediately.  I didn't even get a chance to tell them to lose my number! :)

Received a call could not understand the woman on the other end. Back ground noise was very loud. Hung up, received a call back let it go to voice mail. The vulgar nasty crude language was a good sign these people are crooks. Am thinking about going to the police because of what was said to me.

they just called me as well..on my cell no doubt.they hung up right away.could hear 3 or 4 others talking in the background like it was at a laundrymat or something.silly scammers,calling people prob from a jail phone.

Got a call from an indian woman. Said i can receive the money via credit card, bank account, or cash. Cash requires an advancement fee. SCAM.

Got a call from that number today on my cell done.  Luckily I had the good sense to look at the number before I answered it.  It was a number I didn't recognize so I rejected it and when I got home, I checked this site.  How can these people continue to do this and how do people fall for it ????

The # that called me was 859-472-2043. Belongs to Ben Harter, KY in legal services.  Sounds more like rip off services. They told me to call Genny Johnson st 360-369-4522.  The person on the phone had indian accent and heard other people on the phone in the background

Just received the famous call from this number the guy with the crazy accent said he was calling from washington grant department meanwhile the caller id read columbia. My husband is on the phone with him ,we have different last names the guy tells him thats fine if your her husband you can collect the money as well ,and just took his word for it didn't ask for any kind of verification. So he gives him a number and a code and tells him to call his supervisor Jason Fletcher to collect the money. So we call this guy and tell him about the call and instructed to call him he gives me 5 options to collect so I picked cash and he told me to go to western union and bring my ny state id and $250 to verify my identity. I told him i understand the reason for bringing the id but why the cash. He said to verify my identity i asked how does cash verify my identity and he actually starts getting mad and yells at me and then hangs up. Such a scam dont fall for it they tell u ur receiving $7,000.00 but only if u pay them first such bs.

i just receive the call today from them and it's the same same situation that you guys are telling here,but a failed because i just give them the $240 and the visa card number from my husband,reading all of this i know now that they don't going to give me the money, :-( it's the first time that scammers catch me... so tomorrow at morning i'll go to the bank to change of card,report this to the FBI and check it out if the insurance cover for this situation...

They just called told me to call3603694522 to speak with Jason Fletcher in order to receive cash. The man said he was going to ask a few questions and I said if its about accounts, s.s. numbers , or other info I am so not a dumb a**.  Glad to see you all aren't either.

There is no such thing as a government grant that isn't applied for. Also, when it sounds too good to be true, it is a scam.  People with real money would already have taken all the money if it was available to be taken. You should call the FBI & report the incident & then see if your insurance pays for being gullible.

im laughing to myself so hard right ow i called the number back and told them i was at western union with the money and they stayed on the line and told me what to fill out on the form and the name to send it to and to then go back outside to my car and then she would give me e information in order to receive my 7000 dollars she then asked me for the confirmation number and my response was you dummy ive been recording this call and the police is tracking it so sit there and wait on the police you scammers.

I am so grteful that i hd enough common sense to goggle this number and information before i fed into this scam oftaking 250.00 to western union to recieve 7,000 i would hae been beyond angry i am a single mother ot two and i can not afford to give any money away to anyone especially not a scammer so thank you to eeryone that posted about this scam its sad what people will do and say to take from other innocent people.

Thank you to everyone who posted here. Just got a call from this number today and it sounded sketchy as all get out. I refused to give him any information over the phone except for what they already had (name, address, etc.) just out of habitual paranoia and immediately Googled the number after I hung up. Appreciate the help!
