This is actually the Clark County District Court caller id #. I received this when I first started my divorce legal proceedings, but didnt answer and they didnt leave a message - nothing ever happened - Then about 4 mths later I got the call again and it was a lady in the Clerks office to let me know that my hearing date had changed due to it being scheduled for the wrong docket.. So my experience goes both ways - the mystery caller in beginning didnt matter, but the second one did.  I do know that number is theirs though - I called the clerks office back @ 360-397-2292 during regular business hours to find out what was up .... Got called also by this number.  Called them back and got "Clark County Internal Affairs" answering machine, which freaked me out.  Googling the number gave me only this (type of) site.  Reverse look-up showed unlisted - no government office there....

Not so freaked out now that it seems they are some sort of scam/telemarketer.

I got this call today too on my cell phone. I called the number back and got a recording saying it was Clark County Government. Never heard of Clark County nor the area code so I looked it up and discovered the area code was a Washington area code and then typed in Clark County and sure enough, Clark County, Washington came up with a Clark County website, so I went on the website and clicked on contact us at the bottom of the page and went through all the numbers and that number is not listed at all. Spooky. They didn't leave me a message so what ever it was must have not been important. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has had this number come up on their cell phone. It's probably a scam or telemarketer or something. What ever. I'm going to erase the number and not worry about it. Hopefully that number won't come up again. It's smart to research these things to figure out what your up against.

I called the number back after reading these and immediately his a message saying they are the Clark county government offices and if the call was important they would call back. I dunno I still think it's weird.

We have rec'd 2 calls from this number all within a 3 hour period.All they do is call and don't leave a message.Unfortunately, our family does not answer numbers we don't know nor do we call them back if they do not leave a message.So if it is so important why can't they leave a message of somekind.They are only calling a cell number we hardly use except for emergencies.Since we never give out our cell number how did they get it because we have a house number.

This is Clark County District Courts.
You should call them back to see what it's about.
Often if you have left a message for someone or inquired on a ticket etc, they are returning your call.  They cannot identify you from calling the number back, they are merely returning YOUR call.

If you are nervous about a warrant, you cannot get information on a warrant over the phone. It could be a call back from the cashiers department.

It's even possible that they are calling a wrong number. They always leave a message. If you call them back ask for the department of the person left on your voicemail/machine.  It's simple, painless and harmless.

John Holmes, I would suggest you check out the website for the clark county courts in vancouver, wa and search yourself on there.

The other reports online say this is Clark County Offices and they would have NO reason to be calling me.

I too received a call on my answering machine on July 3rd then did a *69 to find out who it was.

this was a legitimate call from the Clark County Assessors office, but all the caller ID said was "Vancouver" so I did not pick it up
