My husband and I just received similar texts regarding our bank. Problem is, when you call back the number it gives you, an automated message asks you to type in your card number... sound a bit suspicious, doesn't it? Besides, a couple of months ago, my card really was compromised, and I got a phone call from my bank, not a text message.

Got the same text message today saying it was from West Coast Bank. I don't even have an account there. Do NOT respond!

Got a text -" BEE C.U. ALERT: your card has been DEACTIVATED: please call us at 360-434-3921"
Don't have that card, It is a scam from what I can tell. People on the net are saying they also got this about a Wells Fargo card. They reported that wells fargo wants this reported to them so they can investigate the sender, I guess BECU would like to know, too.

Got a text from "O BEE C.U. ALERT" informing me that "Your CAR has been DEACTIVATED" and to please contact them at this number.
This isn't the first time I've gotten messages similar to this. I think I'm going to just start reporting the number to the police. It is obviously someone trying to scam.

RE: Moste Disp. I AGREE!! I just got it a few minutes ago.
I received it as well from 1+256-347-2846 with the GAPAC F.C.U. deactivated card message and to return call at 360-434-3921.
Scammers should go to jail, if my grandmama got this, she'd no doubt pick up the phone and enter any dang info they wanted...

Received a text message 7/14 saying my card has been deactivated. call 360-434-3921
I typed in the number on my PC to see what it might be and found this board. Thank goodness, I did that.

I got a text saying my debit card was deactivated. I just took care of that today. Pretty sure its a scam.

7-14-2011 3:40pm CST I too received a text with the same message with a different number to call back.
I called the number. a recording stated that it was the credit union center and asked that I enter my credit card number. I hung up. I too believe it is a scam

I believe it is a scam, and will call neither the sender nor the suggested contact number.
