Received another call from this number today. i have received calls from this number approximately every 3 months for over two years now, they seem to know my name, address and last four of my ss# and attempt to pull information from me with no valid reasons. This started shortly after I enrolled in community college. I can only assume that the state run college is not protecting students information as this is the only place I have given my ss# in two years. Earlier today I was notified from my credit monitoring service about an inquiry for an application for a fuel credit card, which I did not apply for, so I put a fraud alert on my credit report.

The caller wanted to know if I know this person and wanted to know the social security number and told them I will not give it to them I had my number change once because of this how they got my new number is beyond me so I went to my cellphone carrier website and blocked the number.

This is Dynamic Recovery Solutions.  Called me about a debt from 2003 they said I owed. I told them they were mistaken but they had my name and last 4 digits of SSN#.  I asked for written proof, the told me I had been sent several letters....I asked to which address?  I have had the same one for 6 years and they refused to confirm my address or send proof.

Bottom line.....sleazy debt collectors trying to intimidate people.  NEVER deal with anyone who will not send written proof of debt....Most likely because it is wrong or past the statue of limitations for collecting.

Don't let these people intimidate you.

You forgot to read the first post? They asked for the persons social security number. I am pretty sure its not real. If it was a real agency, they'd send a letter of validation, not make a random call claiming somebody owes a debt. Most probably they are the credit card scums pretending to be debt collectors.

It is indeed a collection agency attempting to get information from you to collect on a debt from you. Don't know the name of the agency, but I believe it is one that has been listed on this web site in the past. Best thing you can do is to simply not pick up the phone when they call, and do not call them back. But they will call repeatedly.

Received a call attempting to confirm my social ... when I asked him to identify himself .. he told me he was going to document a refusal to cooperate .... I told him to go f*ck himself untill he identified himself, as required by federal law... he then hung up.

Fake debt collector. They left a message in an attempt to get us to call back and give them credit card information.

Got call at 4:41 pm.  

Message was "Yes.  This is Mr. Shoal. We have this as a contact number regarding a matter in our office.  If you would, please contact this number as soon as possible.  It is EXTREMELY important.  Our number here is 888-362-2684.  Again our number is 888-362-2684. It is VERY import that receive a return call as soon as possible.  I appreciate your cooperation.

I called the number back using *67 to block my number, and mentioned that I got a call from a Mr. Shoal.  When he asked who I was, I paused, then told him I would give him my phone number, not my name.  Apparently Mr. Shoal only had one recent debt collection to make, or the *67 didn't work, because he gave me the name of my ex-wife.  He asked if I knew where she was, and I let him know that we were divorced in 2001.  I told him I had been getting debt collections calls for her since 2003, and that I had no idea where she was.  He told me that he would mark my number as a wrong number in his database.  That should stop the calls... until the debt is sold to another debt collector.  They seem to sell the thing every 3-6 months.  What a pain.

Left message said it was Urgent that I call them back? So Since I run a business I called them back thinking i might be a client (Almost but I was curious)  And I just got this number and they didn't even say my name? When I called back I asked who is this, and they gave some three letter name of a company. (Non Discript) Then they said who are you? I said I'm the person you called 10 seconds ago and said it was urgent.. Then they wanted to know who I was? I said you called me, don't you know who you are calling? *Yes I realize it was a computer but I wanted to give her a bad time.  Then She started rambling, I honestly didn't listen, I said, If you don't know who you are calling don't you think it's a good idea to make sure you are calling the right person and to know who it is? Of course she said it's just a list..  I said you have my Number because you called me.. Please take it off. She said Please give me your number (Yet she said my number ealierer)  UGH! If this was a collection agency they should work a little better at thier list and how to find out who is on the phone I had absolutely no reason to give my name.. (And the above person wanted a SS#? There is no way I'd give that out.)  Sounds like a scam.. I forwarded this number to my State District Attorney's Office I'll let them screen the calls from now on....

i recieved a call from this # (3605249717). they were looking for cris. i told them cris does not live here. they were rather rude.

They kept calling me. I had to turn my phone off.

Kept asking for information, but would not give anymore than his name Alex. Wanted social security #, adress info.

Told me that I bounced a check for 192 dollars and said I would have to pay today using a borrowed credit card or checking account.  Hung up on me and called from a different number.  He was very rude so I hung up.

Answered call, after several repeats of "music" person got on line, Debt collector trying to collect on settled debt.

Received call with no identification, message left said "Please call our office it is very urgent that we hear from you"

The number was traced to Vancouver WA area, I am a state and a half away.
