Keep calling my cell, too.  Over a dozen times in the last two weeks!

These calls started August 7, every other day.  Hangs up at machine pickup, no message.

I'm getting calls from them too, repeatedly asking if there is a male in the household. Drug testing, here's their new number.

Gilmore Research Group is legit. I have a coworker who has been to their group studies and you get paid money on the spot. I am going to a study next week and they told me I get $125 at the door. It is not a scam.

This is not a scam. They get the numbers from the agancy that hires them- usually a hosp or something like that. They use auto dail and thats why if you wait to answer no one is there.
It is legiamate research but funded by the state and Gilmore just calls for them. Since it is funded by the state that is why the compensation is only $10 instead of the usual $60-$100 offer for doing focus groups at the Gilmore location.

I've received 11 calls so far from the Gilmore Research Group, for research for the Dept. of Health in the state of Washington.  I have asked them each time to remove my telephone number from their calling list.  I have called and written to the company asking them to remove my number - nothing works.  Therefore I have concluded that the best response is to answer their survey and GIVE FAKE RESPONSES.  Email all of your friends in this state and ask them to do the same.  Maybe if people skew their data they'll become more responsible.

According to one person from the Gilmore Research group, they are targeting cell phone users.  If a company such as this one behave so irresponsibly, it's hard to believe that any customer could trust their data collection anyway.  Screw up their data when they harrass you with unwanted telephone calls!!!

I have had well over 20 calls from X5 Gilmore Res.
If I answer there is no one there, and they call 2-4 times a day.
I called the FCC they will do nothing unless you have talked to them when they call. If you have talked to them and are on the no call list file a complaint!
Other than that an air horn may be useful when X5 calls.
Just block them.

i get several calls a day from this number.  i never answer but i'm really tired of it.

They've called me about every other day for the past two to three weeks.  I never pick up, but it's getting weird.

Today is the third day in a row that I have gotten a call from this number. Blah.

Been calling me for two weeks, I won't answer a call form a number I am suspicious of, glad I looked it up on the net, now I'm sure I won't answer. Pain in the rear.

2nd day in a row they have called. no message. i do not answer calls frm numbers i do not know.

Fortunately I did not answer the call.
I had my first one today.

Also getting hammered with calls from these people on my cell phone...late at night, early morning, weekends...all of it.

Started receiving calls June 5,2008. Don't know who the hell they are!

calling to do a survey of Cell Phone users for the Washington State Dept. of Public Health.   WTF??   Quit calling my cell phone!!!

Received call from (360) 616-8949 at 5:22 pm.  Called back immediately.  Voice message claimed I had reached the Gilmore Research Group.  Message said their hours of operation are  9:00-5:00 m-f.  Will call back during supposed business hours.  I'd bet all I get is a voice recording regardless of what time I call.  Keep your private inforomation PRIVATE!!!

Whoever called me from the above number claimed they were calling from Gilmore Research Group, regarding a health survey of some sort...if I were to "qualify," I would receive an Amazon.com $10 gift certificate. I asked her 2 questions: how they got my number, and if she knew who I was. She said that my "cell phone number was just randomly selected," and, no, she had no information as to who I was. Which makes me feel like this is not Gilmore Research Group, because I have attended research studies through them, and the particular number they called today is not on file with them. Plus, they always verify with me who I am before conducting the initial "interview" (typically qualifying interviews for in-house studies, which offer better compensation than $10 gift cards anyhow). I found it interesting that she knew she was calling my cell phone--soliciting companies/databases typically avoid calling cell phones (though it happens sometimes). She also said nothing of a database, just that my number was "randomly selected." My feeling is that John is right, perhaps they are just trying to scam personal information out of people. Scary!!!

Continually getting calls on a daily basis for the past month!  No one is ever there!!

Got a call from a male with slurred voice saying he is doing a health survey for state of oregon.  at that point I hung-up.  Must be a scam calling from Vancouver, Washington to get personal information.  Has called several times, all in the evening.

Started calling me several weeks ago, I answered the phone and told them that I don't wish to participate, after that ## of calling went up to three times on a daily basis, I am really sick of them. Any ideas how to stop this scam?

Gilmore is a Market Research Co and one of there biggest clients is Wa State Dept of Health and the Centers for Disease Control.... It is a long Health Survey and they do ask you a lot of personal questions but it is legit survey

My wife got a letter from WA State DOH asking us to participate in the pending tlephone survey.  She answered questions on the first call.  Now they are trying to get ahold of the husband... I guess I will pick up next time, answer the questions and move on...

I started getting these calls a week go, in Bellingham WA. They don't leave a message.  Once I lifted the phone and put it back down and as it touched the phone base it began ringing again.  Once, again, I answered and got their automated message about being closed for now and 'please call tomorrow' during their working hours.  What is this and how can we get it to stop?

The inner-city voice told me they were doing "health research" and wanted to ask health questions about my family (if they are doing said research for WA state, as they usually claim, why are they calling OR phone numbers). I told her that I considered that a HIPAA violation, and hung up on her.

One call this evening; didn't answer when I picked up.
