nusance call. no message, just a hang-up

Keep getting numerous times a day 3-10 phone calls in a row ( seconds from each other ), and they all appear to be from random numbers from all over the country.  Sometimes there is a foreign music , sometimes nothing, and sometimes a computer type tone..  So far none of the numbers have repeated, so blocking a number is not an option.. and blocking an area code does not work as this is my business number that is being called.. this is very anoying..any ideas?

When calling back any # either it is not a working #, it says the user does not accept any messages, or it says to leave a message.. but they are are all computer generated voices..

I see that you have an axe to grind with Time-Warner, but isn't the real issue here "Don't answer calls from numbers you don't know"? And if you get a call from your bank, credit card co., utility, shouldn't you call them from the phone book, back of credit card, or statement? With number spoofing it can be anyone on the phone, from any part of the world. Time-warner, Bank of America, etc. are big. A lot of people use them, that's why the scammers use them. There's a good chance that 3 of 10 crooked calls will be a hit. In the world of crime, "them's good odds". The world is not a nice place to live, protect yourself.

Have been getting calls from this number, l answer, they don't say a word. I have had it with these types of calls. Its so annoying. There should be a way to stop them from calling. Until then, I have added all of them to my contacts n made it where the calls will go straight to voicemail. Hey at least I won't have to listen to my phone ringing. Also they won't leave a voicemail. Temporary fix.

I have been getting a string of calls from various numbers in Washington. Reports indicate that they are all advertising a cruise trip. If anyone gets a call from the numbers below, they are probably the same people that called you from this #, using a different phone line. These calls tend to be masked by a fake Verizon message saying that the line is not in service, or a busy tone. Here is my list so far, but I'm sure there's more. Stay on the alert with your caller identifiers and NEVER answer these calls. They are tracking when you call, and collecting data about your number after the first call.

Got the call today for about the tenth time this month what a bunch of bull crap! I created a contact name for them "Bull Crappo"

This P O S keeps calling!  I'm sick of these fraud b*****ds calling me. No msg just a recording. Identity thieves and fraudsters looking to get to our accounts to drain them. Give no information & mention no names that's how they get you!!!!

Someone called my and my daughters cell phone from this number.  I did not answer.

Soon as I hear the boat horn, the crap begins.  Been receiving calls from this A/C for weeks now (they must change up the number from all the bitching going on).  From 5-17-2012, 12:10 PM.  Been getting more spam calls and wrong number calls than actual legit calls anymore...

Calls coming more frequently.  No messages left.
