Who is this call from?

I keep getting a call from this number just saying "Hey it's Leah, I still need a call back." And she gives me her number. Normally, it shows up as restricted on my phone, but she gives the number. I'm not calling it.

Leah Johnson called as well at our work and on a cell phone too! These people suck.

Leah did the same thing to me today....guess I wont call her back either

"hello this is ryan, I need a call back.  360-748-4256."  Had to listen about four times to figure out what he said.

got the same thing, any idea who or why?  mine was on my cell phone.

This is Dynamic Collections in Chehalis Washington. And they don't give up even if it isn't you they want.

I just received a call from this number from a Liz Johnson. She never stated where she was from or what she was calling for. Let alone, the call came to me at work. This should NOT be happening. Even if it is a collection agency, they should never call you at work.

Received a call today they left a message said they were Mrs. Johnson and she wanted a callback

Just received phone call today.  A women left a message on my voice mail.  I Could not understand the name or what she said only that we needed call 7484256.  When we called the number it was a general voice mail box of noting business hours.  No name of the business or who we were calling back.

We have received several from this same company EVERY ONES LAST NAME IS JOHNSON These calls are to contact our son and I have told them to remove my number at least 5 times and I still on a daily bases get calls for him. I guess even though most talk clear and seem to know the English Language can't understand that they need to remove my number. I have two numbers all from the same office 360-748-4256, 360-748-3571, as well as there are several times that it comes up UNKNOWN. They just keep on going like the Energizer Bunny.

just received a phone call from a Debbie Johnson and this has been going on for awhile....they will not leave any information as to what this is pertaining to and it is irritating due to the fact that it is my cell phone they are calling

i got to work to find a phone call message from mellissa johnson from 360 748 4256. never heard of this person but wish they wouldnt call my workplace.

Shelby Johnson just called me, and said that it was 'very important' that they get ahold of me.

Called and asked for "john"  she said her name was "Alyssa Johnson" and refused to say what the call was about or who she was, other than her name.  Since I have a brother in law named John and same last name as me, and a boyfriend named john, not the same last name, and she wouldn't tell me what it is concerning, I'm not going to call back.

Got a call from Lisa (she got my voice mail) at my work number.  She said she was looking for Kevin and that her name was Lisa and that I should call her back at 748-4256.  I turned off my caller ID on my cell phone (duh) and called the number.  The girl answered just Hello.  I hung up and will not call back.

Some chick named Debbie calls me every day. Won't say anything other than a bitchy "Call me." She has the same snippy, arrogant tone as an ex-girlfriend or mother-in-law. I'm not calling her back, and if she calls work I'll be filing with the court and State Attorney General.

Screw 'em.

Got a message from someone named Casey from 360 748-4256. Her message did indicate why she was calling or what company she was with.
Did not call her back.

I just got a call from the same number saying her name was Liz and it was important that I return her call. She even called my Byron...

You need to send this request via a certified mail and request a return receipt. If you want to allow calls only between 5pm and 6pm, tell them about it in the letter. By law collection companies are required to respect your privacy and will have to cease all phone calls to your home, relatives, neighbors, and work.

Once you have their claims in writing it?s easier to seek legal help, and keep records of your correspondence.

Send all your responses to bill collectors via Certified Mail. This way you will have proof of receipt by the addressee.

Remember that the amount they claim you owe is negotiable. You can negotiate the total amount due, number of payments, and the payment deadline. Once you worked out the payment plan, request it in writing.

What a debt collector CANNOT do:

   * Use deceptive practices. For example, threaten you with arrest or  trick you into paying for collection calls.
   * Use obscene language.
   * Call you at work after you tell them that your boss does not approve these calls.
   * Deny you the right to receive a written notice (within five days after your first phone conversation) that would tell you how much you owe and the name of the creditor that says you owe the money. If you do not receive the notice within five days, call the collection agency and ask for its address and fax number. Then, send a letter to the collector noting its failure to send you the required notice. As a minimum, make a note in your file.
   * Refuse to give its name and the name of the collection company when asked.
   * Put a debt on your credit report if you file a dispute. It must validate the debt by obtaining a verification of the debt or a copy of a judgment from the creditor before continuing their collection efforts. The results of the investigation must be mailed to you.

Just recieved this same message. I googled the number she left and this was the first thing that came up.

My guess, collection agency, but I'm on board for the lawsuit.
The message she left made it sound like high school alumni getting the H.S.reunion ready and contacting people.

My cell phone had a call come in as "RESTRICTED" so they blocked the number. Gal said "Hi Lisa I need you to call me back.  This is Janet Johnson  360-748-4256".  They must have chosen CALL BLOCKING for their call.

So I did the same thing. I called from a Restricted number.  This business answers the phone "Hi!" (unprofessional in my opinion) and I said "What company is this?" She said "This is DYNAMIC COLLECTIONS. Can I help you?" I said " No, just trying the call. Thank you."

Apparently everyone here has the last name JOHNSON, or at least they all use the same ALIAS last name

i just had the same thing happen to me... sme Shelby lady called me and left a msg on my work line.  I'm looking into filing a class action suite against this company for violating the FACT act. They are NOT supposed to call your work, especially if they are not sure if they have the correct person. You can avoid this problem by opting out of whats known as "soft pulls" on your credit report. You can opt out for 5 yrs online.... just google opt out prescreen and it should be one of the first links. BUT make sure it says "opt out prescreen" to make sure you dont get the wrong website.... just to protect your identity.  Check back to get updates on the law suite.

I received a call from Shelby at the same number who NEEDED a return call back. She left a message at my place of employment. According to the 1977 Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, they are not to do this.

I had same thing, no message just "A Melissa". Since these posts noted a collection agency  I figured I would call to make sure . She said is this *******   birthday 3/13/..... I stopped her . No not my birthdate. I guess if they are "looking" for someone they just call everyone in the phone book with that name......  How lovely.

I called the number back and it is Dynamic Collection Agency!

I got a phone call from this number a few minutes ago at my place of work from Tina Johnson at this number, asked for me by name! Don't know who this person is so I am not calling back! Very irritated they are calling my place of work!
