I just got a message on my cell phone from this number.  A man identified himself as "Mr. Stewart" and said the call from him was an attempt to collect a debt.  He then left a call back number of 866-423-0508. I had already received a couple of threatening calls from 888-888-88. One call on Friday and one earlier this morning.  This person stated she was calling from Nueces County and said a lien had been filed against me.  She said she was sending someone to my house and my place of business within 48 hours...next call it was 24 hours.  I immediately called the Nueces County Sheriff's Office asking for which department handled such matters.  I mentioned that the female caller left a name that I couldn't make out and no call back number for her.  Instead she  instructed me to call 202-644-9115.  I told NCSO that the caller also left a document # (not docket #) and that she never said the word "warrant." I told her I didn't know what it was about or how I  supposed to fix it.  The woman at the Sheriff's Office told me the call did not come from the Nueces County Sheriff's Office and it was probably a scam of some sort.

Lady on line explains "there is a situation here that needs to be dealt with."  It's a local number and most of the bill collectors I deal with are 888 #'s
