When I get a call from a number I don't recognize I lift the handset (or press the speakerphone button) and immediately press and hold down the # button for about 30 seconds. If it's a robo-all, it will delete my number from the calling list thinking it's a bad number. If it's a real person, they will hang up and delete the number from the call list for the same reason. I used to get a couple dozen of these calls a day from various telemarketers. Now I get 2 or 3 a day so this must be helping. I agree with another poster here that our phone companies only allow 30 blocked numbers and that list fills up quickly. Try the # button method and see if it doesn't reduce the number of crap calls you get each day. It may take a few weeks to notice a difference, but I've been doing this for about 2 years now and my number is definitely getting sold to fewer and fewer telemarketers, that's for sure.

spam these telemarketers with HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS of text messages and then block their number from calling your iPhone.  Telus and other carriers are going to lose millions because they cannot figure out how to stop these a-holes from terrorizing us on our hard earned land line phones.  How pathetic!!!!  

Received several calls from this number with the CID of "Marketing." I disconnect the call as soon as CID shows the ID number. They have called today (04/09/2014) three times already. I will not answer a number without a name, everything else goes to voice mail.

April 09/ 2014 - Just received a call from this number. Did not recognize so pushed immediate hangup on them. Glad for the info on this site which confirmed another scam low-life caller. We have logged some 525 different "crap" numbers from winning trips-your computer has a virus-Google; you name it we have received it. Still, with all these calls the phone providers do nothing; the "do not call list" is a waste of time and the phone block feature from the phone providers is useless since they only allow up to 30 numbers all the while these low-lives keep changing their numbers.

Caller did not leave any message. Looking at the unknown area code, I did not pick up the phone and I am glad reading other comments.

Robocaller selling Google whatever.  I have Ooma VOIP so they can only call me once.  After that I blacklist the whole area code and it doesn't matter how many numbers they have to call from.
