Recieved call at 8:30pm CST. Entered false credit card number (123451234512). Robot call would check and say invalid CC# and repeat. After three times I was bored and hung up.

I missed a call made to my cell. No message left. I do not have either BofA or Wells Fargo so fraud part would have been obvious. At the call time was reasonable - early evening (supper time).
Why doesn't the call type have a scam/fraud selection?

They called claiming to be BofA. They said that my debit card BEGINNING in XXXX has been limited (my wife got the call and they said cancelled) and I needed to press 1 to reactivate it.
My wife pressed 1 and they asked for her account number at which time she hung up. I'm going to report it to the Texas Attorney General and the FCC.

If they truly were from BofA they'd have said my card ENDING in XXXX. Using the beginning number ensures everyone they call is included.

I received a call at 11:32 p.m. from an automated system saying my Bank of American debit cards has been limited and to press 1 to activate it. I don't use Bank of America and did not press 1. Sounds like a scam to me.

Got a call at 1:30 in the morning! Did not answer, but they also have called at 10:30 at night! It is unnerving to get calls at those times! Same thing,claiming to be Wells Fargo. DO NOT give out any info!!!!!

Same story. Automated call from "Wells Fargo" regarding my debit card. Haven't banked with Wells Fargo for more than 15 years. I reported the call to Wells Fargo as probable fraud attempt.
