Had a missed call on my cell phone.  I did not recognize the number.  Went on line to check it out.   Have to be careful with these mystery calls.

This is a different number from the company SSI?  A survey company... Survey Sampling International.  I read up on them.  They have called here before recently but a different number.  They always hang up.  Right before Christmas, my phone rang off the hook it seems.  I did go to the opt out number, afraid to use their email, as they would then have that....  Figuring they have my number...  So I hope this works.  These people skirt the opt out laws...  They have demographics...  Know what car you drive....  Somehow, then provide your information to other marketers.  I am sick of this.

If you receive numerous calls that are unwated, there are steps that you can take.

1. Put yourself on the Do not call list, I know some of you say that it does not work, but I can assure you that it will help.
2. Ask the company, if you get a live person on the phone, to place you on the company do not call list and to prove you with there address so you can write a letter asking them to do so.
3. If the above two steps do not work,contact the FCC @ www.fcc.gov/complaints.  File a complaint.  The more complaints they get about all these people, the more they investigate and shut them down for violating FCC rules.

Caller stated her name was Megan Frost with Newfin? research company. I suspect this comes after I called a craigslist ad for a too-good-to-be-true car sale. No one answered and then received txt messages from Ann @ 8323038192 asking for my email address so she could send more info. Knew it was a scam at that point. 8323038192 number shows in multiple craigslist ads across the US. They have my cell number now dammit!

Was called at 1930 hrs. No message left. Called ID showed Utah call.

Was called at 8:30p. Didn't answer, no message left.

Didn't recognize the number, didn't answer, no message left.

Came up on my phone as a missed call, but not on my recent call list.  Then a reminder to call them back.  I do not call anyone when I do not know who they are ... ever! I did not make a notice on my phone yet to call anyone, so how that notice was placed on my phone is unknown!

Called number back, it had a recorded message to go to their website at www.surveysampling.com.  Went to their website it says to be put on their do not call list, call 866-360-9563.  I called this number and got recorded message to leave name and phone number to be removed from list, and allow 5 days to process, or go to website optout@surveysampling.com.

They call here, I answer and no one ever says anything.

SSI calls from 385-207-7064 asking for Joanne Davis for 2 days now.  They must know she is elderly, very persistant.  Isn't ssi social security?  They should be stopped from stealing money from people.

This #  was on my caller ID, no message on voice mail...

Called me twice and the second time left a message asking for me by name (!). Must have gotten it from a list somewhere. Thank God for Caller ID!

I got several calls from this number over a few hours. What happened to the Do Not Call list? These telemarketers are as bad as the Republican National Committee calling and harrassing my family ALL DAY long.Its not Social Security Insurance...

Man with heavy "Indian" accent says he is taking a poll for____couldn't make out the name___, and wants to know if I am registered to vote. I replied why?  He said it is for my health. I said goodbye take moe off your list.  And then I got a high pitched tone so I hung up.  I have added this to the do not call, but since it is more than likely a computer calling I won't stop them.  It may be from out of the country, but it is not welcomed.

called and asked if we were republican or democrate...

this number calls and they say they are from univ. of southern calif!  i doubt it

Scum bags called my house at 8:30 p.m.   The telemarketing calls are outta control. Yes I have caller ID.  I get like 5 a night at least and I have always been on the DNC list. When is our F****** government going to do something about these a$$ holes?

Same phone number, call was screened. Picked up the receiver, remained silent; it went over into voice mail. Person did try to speak and ask for me, thick accent, very difficult to understand, then hung up.  Got the location and number from CID.  

Won't pick up the receiver next time.  If it's that important, they'll leave a message.

I recently received a message from this number, it was SSI corporation.

Got a hang-up call from 385-207-7064 before answering service picked up. Utah was the caller ID.

Calls are from a Survey,Tele Marketer asking questions,  called SSI. Computer hangs up and continues to call if phone is not picked up immediately/ They do not abide by the DO NOT CALL LIST. Using a name like SSI could cause confusion with elderly customers, thinking that this is a government agency. They continue to call when asked not to.
