I've had the same exact crap happen to me.  I have lost count of how many calls I've gotten from SSI and every single one is dead air.  In other words no one is there and the call gets disconnected.  Tonight I received two calls from them, one of which was right in the middle of a very important long distance call.  That did it.  I called the number back (after I got off of the phone) only to get a recorded message about how SSI is a survey company and then it hung up on me.  I went to their website and called the number listed to opt out and once again there isn't a live person to speak to, you have to leave a message.  I left a message and also sent them an opt out email (the address is on their site) as well to cover all of my bases.  What a freakin' ANNOYING company!  It also ticks me off that they don't respect the National Do Not Call List, I'm on it, and I don't give a crap whether or not their a telemarketing company!  I don't want anyone calling me.  THAT'S why I'm on that list to begin with!

Last call I rec'd from them was 11/29 which I did not answer. They left no message either.

Called on 11/30/2013 @ 03:48 PM from Provo, UT. No message was left.

Just what I needed. Another cybercrook harassing me day & night. Can't any of our politicians take a minute from their "busy schedules" to make these calls illegal? How can we get these bullies to understand that "no" means "stop calling me!!!"

calls from 385-207-7065 originating in orem utah  are from a company by the name of ssi inc [ survey sampling international ] headquartered in shelton ct. . the president of ssi inc. is chris fanning . the phone numbers listed for the home office are 203-567-7200 and toll free 855-477-4726 . if you want to know why you are receiving calls from ssi inc. i am sure that chris would be the the man to ask . i hope this helps . keep us posted .     heywood

I agree with this post. The CALLER ID said, "Utah". Since we live in Chicago, don't know how they got my  number.  THese robo calls are getting silly. I get one from NY 2 times a day. REally. LI live in Chi, so I don't know how they got my number. Will report this to the FTC  AND FCC!

I received a call from them tonight. Seems these type of calls have been getting worse lately! Btw I've heard that there is a way to spoof the number to make it seem like it is coming from a certain location (Utah) but is really coming from probably India, or some other outsourced place.

This is a "spoofed" number, meaning they trick your caller id into showing a fake number.

Hey they called me too. They ask me if I was a registered voter. Why would someone in Utah care when I can only vote in the state of NY?

They called and said they were from SSI.  A woman asked me if I was Democrat or Republican.  I had a hard time understanding her, because her English was horrible!  I told them that I refused to answer their questions & hung up.

Received a call from this number as well at 9:30pm. If I don't recognize the number I don't answer the phone. Went to VM but no one left a message. It gets frustrating when they call so late in the evening and wake everyone up.

Losers called, female voice, at 9:36 pm. and woke whole household up including dogs! Tried to argue when told we were on national no call list and requested they remove us from their call list. Was snotty, in her barely English speaking voice, and argumentative. Seriously? 9:36 p.m. and you are annoyed with me!  Asked for someone in a muffled voice that could not be made out so no idea who they wanted or  wanted to talk to the head of household.
