Just got a call and text from this number - very upset

Got a call from this number last night at 12:30 am....not impressed as we  were sound asleep. We don't have anything to do with whatsapp in the first place. Super ticked.

If another device attempted to verify your registered Whatsapp telephone number, especially within the same day, they give you a code through this number to verify your number and account... I was switching phones earlier today and I had to answer the call from this number to get the reverify code... It's a security measure.

I also got the same message and phone call. I'm from Finland. I didn't answer the call because I saw it coming from another country. I was a little bit confused about it.

I also got a call from this number NOW , but I refused!!! i'm italian ! I also received a message with the code of whatsapp that I have already installed in my cell. and two calls from viber with its code via message.

Then, a message, also saying something about a whatsapp code....

I got a call from +1 386-279-4287 earlier today and I do not know why they have contacted me, and I would prefer if they didn't again. I do not know anyone with this phone number.

I also had a voicemail message from the first number saying your verification code is .....
Ialready have what's app and I did not need a verification code so I am unsure what this is.
