I got a call from this number. Sounds like they're trying to sell time shares down in Florida. In order to redeem the prize, you would have to fly down to Florida (on your own dime), pay a $250 deposit, and attend some presentations in order to get your room and meals comped. Doesn't really sound like an all expenses paid trip to me if you're expected to pay for your own transportation.

My fiancee and I entered our names in a Bahamas/Florida Vacation draw at the Taboo Show in Edmonton Alberta. Within a few days we both started receiving calls to let us know we had won. My fiancee let them go on longer than I did, and they represented themselves as being from Travel Center and have changed their name on different calls. My fiancee initially asked how many people won and they said 4%... which was a suspicious answer not to mention and immediate red flag.

They told my fiancee about the trip, all the details, and then said there would be a "nominal surcharge" and started to ask for credit card numbers and expiry dates etc. We didn't provide any sensitive information but after looking around online it seems quite a few people have fallen for this.

If you get these calls, and are linked to the 4islandoases site or anything similar, end the call and try to get in touch with the organizer of the event/show you attended so they can put an end to this.

This company is a total scam. They said that they got my name from Comic Con as well, and that I won, too. The said it was free at the beginning of the call, but then at the end they mentioned the 249$ a person, and no airfare. I guess everyone won! I hope no one falls for this scam.

I guess everyone who signed up had won! Now I don't feel so special anymore lol

What company did they say they were from? I haven't gotten to that part yet as I was busy having dinner to listen to what I have won. They're calling back tonight though.

Did you attend the New York Comic Con and entered a raffle for a free trip to Universal Studios Orlando? If so, I've gotten the same number saying that I have won a free trip for two! I am curious now...
