I got a call from (386) 490-8984 but it says its from FL,USA. How do I stop this?

This company calls me every day to ask for information on my vaginal surgery that I never had.  They also try to sell me follow up insurance.

I just received a call from this number and my caller id said is was from Slovenia???? I have stopped answering these calls, if I don't know the number I don't answer

If I don't recognize the number I don't answer. If it is important they can leave a voicemail. If they don't leave a voicemail, oh well.

Mr. Number is an app you can download onto your phone and when a telemarketer calls, you can add it to Mr. Number and block it, hang up on it, or send it to voice mail. I use this app with EVERY telemarketer and have had very little calls since then. I just received a call from this number and added it to Mr. number, I won't be hearing from them again. It's an awesome app.

Received a call from this number a bit ago, I didn't answer it. The number came up as a Slovenia number. I don't know anyone in that country. I immediately blocked the number.

I tried to answer when they called and no one spoke back.  I called the number back.  It was a very strong accented Indian man.  I heard also "medical compensation".  He said he was not trying to sell me anything, not a telemarketer and asked if I had medical compensation.  I ask him very politely to remove my number from their call list.  He said "ok" and continued to talk about "medical compensation".  I was unable to really connect the other phrases he was saying.  I interrupted him, asking politely again if he would remove my number.  He kept talking about whatever.  I said Okay, remove my number, do not call back, have a great day.  Not the first time I have had someone Indian call about "medical compensation".  

Missed a call from this number but no message was left. After reading all the other comments about this number I just added it to my phone book under "blacklisted" and marked the call to go straight to voice mail. So now I will not be bothered by this call again.

I called this phone # back and asked these idiots what the heck they wanted.  No answer from the Indian on the other line. I then reminded him I was on the DNC. He hung up.

I finally got tired of being awakened in the middle of the night by the scammers.  So I downloaded a silent ringtone and assigned numbers to as many people as I thought/knew would call.  This option wouldn't work for those who often get unknown/unexpected calls as part of their business, etc.  I did start putting scammer numbers in my phone with the silent ringtone, if I received more than one call.  Good luck....

This number called me and an indian guy asked for me by my maiden (i've been married for 2 years) so this was odd to me.  I told him he had the wrong number (suspected it was a telemarketer).  He again asked to speak with (maiden name).  I told him he has the wrong number, he then said he was calling about file number -------.  I again said YOU HAVE THE WRONG NUMBER, he then said "Well what is your name?"   I hung up.

Got a call like 20 times from these people I block the number and two weeks later it is a new number same company!!! I work graves so I finally blew up! When I asked for a supervisor I got yes medical compensator!! I repeated it like ten times he finally got me to some one else that again did not speak English he then started to talk over me as I was trying to complain so I freaked out and blew up needless to say no calls and it's been about 2 days but we will see

Just got a call from an Indian woman.  She was extremely hard for me to understand.  Tried to listen for all of about 20 seconds and finally told her to have somebody call me that spoke ENGLISH!!  Hung up and blocked the number.  End of story.  "Medical compensation"...............right.  More like "garbage"!!

I received 2 phone calls today from an indian speaking person and he stated it was for my medical compensation and then I couldn't understand a word he said so I hung up and he called back an hour later same response.

I received a call from this number from an Indian guy first asking what my name was and then tried to "verify" my email address with him- all before even telling me his name and the company he works for. This automatically struck me as odd, and it was even moreso because the email he was trying to confirm was one that I use only for spam. After I had to ask why he was calling me, he stated that it was for some medical compensation. I asked what event this was supposed to be for, and he would not answer me. I was having a very hard time understanding his accent, and I asked to speak to someone else. This was partly because I really couldn't understand much of what he was saying, and partly because I was doubtful that this call was from an actual company. He began to get very unprofessional, laughing and asking me why I wanted to speak with someone else, and then claiming that he didn't have an accent and he was sorry I couldn't understand him- but still not allowing me to speak to anyone else. I asked what company he worked for, and he said it was no company- it was medical compensation. Another red flag. I asked to speak to his manager, at which point he asked why. I began to get irritated and said that it doesn't matter why. When someone asks to speak to a manager you are obligated to comply, regardless of the reason. He would not allow me to speak to anyone but him, again laughing and asking if I wanted to complain about his accent, and I hung up. He has called two more times, and has left one very long voicemail that only had background noise on it. Seeing other posts here has confirmed my suspicions that this was a scam. DO NOT give them any information or even confirm that the information they have on you is correct. I have been told that in the past people can record you and manipulate the recordings to gain access to certain things. Regardless of how valid that is, if someone will not tell you the company they work for and if they will not allow you to speak to anyone else, HANG UP.

I recieved call today, The caller said the call is regarding medical compensation. I immediately hung up the call as I knew these are fake calls. The person called me up again, I disconnected. He called me again 2-3 times, meanwhile I was trying to block the number. Finally I picked up call. He asked me how am I in Gujarati as he said he is also an Indian just like me. He then asked where I live, I asked the purpose of call he says its medical compensation and I don't have to pay anything. I said not interested and again disconnected and blocked the number. I am receiving these kinda calls from a very long time.. Don't know where to complaint..

Indian woman stating the call was for my medical compensation, could not understand much more of what she was saying.. definitely a telemarketer!
