This is a local call here. The caller ID of "Daytona Beach" is usually what comes up for a cell phone call. That's why I picked up. Said he was from "tech support" servicing "all computers" and that my computer had reported a error message. I told him I hadn't requested tech support for anything (I am my own tech support) and he said they monitor error messages that are sent by computers. Wanted me to turn on my computer so he could show me. I refused, of course. This could be a way to gain access to my computer network which is on DSL and heavily secured. He introduced himself by mentioning a company name, but even when I asked him to repeat the company name I couldn't understand. Very heavy South Asian accent.
