Automated call from "Mary Roberts with Satellite TV".

Said something about satelitte tv.

I picked up the phone and some lady said "I'll get right to the point...we can install satellite..........." and I hung up.

I've been on the no call list for several years and it helped for awhile but the last couple of months the calls just keep on coming from so many different sources.  To file a complaint for every call is tedious.  There must be an easier way.

I received a call from this number concerning free dish TV.  I immediately hung up as I had gotten a similar call yesterday

Call from this number came in when I was away from the phone. When I tried to call the number it came up disconnected. Glad I missed the call.

They called me on behalf of Dish Network. Couldn't explain why they called when I'm on the Do Not Call.

Called me and when I answered there was no answer, then I called the number and a recorded message said "disconnected/no longer in service"

Called our business 9-8-08 left no message. I found this site. I assume it's a scam.

Got a call about 11:25.  They let it ring and never left a message.  Very annoying.

Call at noon:45 PDT. Automated call, offered an option to push 1, so I did. Person on the other end said they were a call center (actual words), and they were selling Dish Network. I tried to play it cool, asked for a website I could check out their offer. She said, "Uh, I don't know. Um, I guess Dish Network dot com? I really don't know. Maybe do a Google search or something?" When I asked if I could check out her website so I could compare offers, she immediately hung up.
This is the exact same tactic I've been getting a lot more of recently. Automated call with an option to push 1 to talk to someone, then as soon as I ask for any contact info, they hang up.
I will do some more research to see if I can find their info. If I do, I'll post it here so you can send a "Cease & Desist" letter. (I have a letter I typed up years ago after a spate of these calls. It's sounds just like an attorney wrote it, and threatens lawsuit with any further contact. Every single company I've sent it to has stopped contacting me within days of my sending it. So this tactic REALLY WORKS!)

Got this number on my caller id at 3:37 p.m. my number is on the DO NOT CALL list, but I guess some of them get through.

They called me at 1:11pm on 9/12/2008.  I am on the DO NOT CALL registry so I went to file a complaint and this is the message I got from the registry... Pretty much says they have ways around calling you so I guess when their 30 days are up they'll just get a new number and call me for another 30 days and so on and so on........

Call came in at 9:51 a.m. on Friday Sept. 12, 2008. Did not answer since I don't know anyone in Deland, FL.

Obviously a scam. Asking for Credit Card number. Using false Caller ID equipment as number comes back as not in service.

Some jibberish (non american dialect)..... Maybe looking to sell us some oil!

Received a call from this number 3:55 PM today 9-12-2008.  It was a recording for Satellite TV.  I am on the Do Not Call List.

Just block the call.  I did...no more annoyance.

Trying to sell Dish Network apparently which is ridiculous since I already HAVE Dish Network.

asked about satilite tv. and asked about 4 my social security #and i made the dumb mistake of giving it to him. he called at 10:47 in the morning. I called back to ask if they offer sattilite internet but the phone just kept ringing.
then i decided to google his number. and it turned out to be a scam.

the spoofing a non-existance number is totally out of control these days! this means the Do Not Call list is pretty useless when it comes to the crooks, and there are so many of them out there, like this one today

now, if I'm home and it's a number I don't recognize, I just pick up my phone and hang up on them so I don't have to hear the ringer. a-holes, idiots and scammers!

Did not answer, so I don't know if it was a satellite TV offer. But...

I recently applied for and got the federal coupons for the TV converter boxes. Anyone getting those would be a target for satellite TV offers. So I'm wondering if people reporting this number have also gotten those coupons.

Maybe someone made a quick buck by selling the database of coupon recipients (hopefully a felony, but who knows?)

Would our own federal government sell our phone numbers to telemarketers for a few bucks??????Never

I just got a call from this number - it said if oyu want to be removed from this list please press 9 and it disconnected my phone

For some reason they are calling my mother's house asking for me and I haven't lived there for over 7 years. I'm on the do not call list and so is my mother.  Just stop being a headache.
