Its a scam! I received this unsolicited text message "Offer 41743 Get an iPhone for $35! There's a bunch left, get yours now!" and then it has a bitmap link I didn't click on.

ARS doesn't buy debt, idiot... we service debt for the client...  whoever you had the card with still owns it... do some research, jagoff.... everyone pays in the end... if you don't have them money, you don't have the money... but half of these debtors tell us they are broke when i can clearly see on their credit report that they are having no problem making the payment on their 2 homes, their 3 cars, and the boat...  f*** those people...  credit card fraud artists are destroying this country... god knows a lot of good people were put in bad positions when they lost their jobs... but maybe running up hundreds of thousands of dollars in credit card debt was a bad decision... use your head, people...

Anyone out there know someone that works for ars? There has to be someone that knows workers at this company, supervisors would be good. Maybe you have a ex-gilfriend, ex-boyfriend,ex-wife, ex- husband, a neighbor you don't like that works at ars. Want to get even with them? Do you have a name, address, where thier kids go to school, where thier parents live? Anything that will help the thousands and thousands that want to hunt THEM down for a taste of thier own tactics. Want to send them a message? If so post the info online where frustrated consumers can find it. They have the right to visit ars employees and thier loved ones. Then ars employees can decide if a ars paycheck is worth the price.

401-213-3328 keeps calling my home looking for my exhusband. I already told the woman last night that he hasn't lived at this address for 9 yrs.  She was quite rude and replied,"well he is the one that gave us this number," then she hung up. They called twice today already.  I am going to investigate who I can report this too since it is harrassment.

You have the right to send a cease and desist letter so they must contact you by mail only.

As to the don't call because they'll have your name and phone number, they alreardy have the number. To send a cease and desist, you have to give your name and address.

These letters are the law and if the company doesn't do as you ask, they are in violation of the law. That's a suit and big payments they'll be making. Particularly if there is a history of the violation.

Make sure you have copies of every thing, and what ever you do send it return receipt.

BTW BBB is useless to do anything about anything, they have no power to enforce anything.

ARS National Services is a large collection agency with a home base in Rancho Cucamonga, California. They host 5 different call centers. They have also called using 2695094104 and many others.

I received a call from this number twice in the last week.  Because the number is unknown to me, I did not answer it.

The user is constantly calling my phone, he was looking for Brian Clarke. I spoke to the guys 3 days ago and told him the same thing.

We as well are being called by this company. Something needs to be done. I have voice mail and caller ID but no one will leave a message. Then they say that they've been trying to contact you numerous times in a letter that they send.

When you call them back, they will not only have your phone number (caller ID), but they will ALSO have your name. If you have "anonymous" caller service, it won't work on an 800 number: They will learn your name and number because they are paying for the 800 service; it's their dime, and YOUR ID and phone number will be revealed to them.

Don't answer the phone, let it wring, let the phone machine answer it, file a complaint with the FTC. If the problem persists, call your phone company and have your number changed.

I normally don't answer any calls that I don't know the number.  I have been receiving calls on my cell phone .   This 401 and others. when I call back phone just rings and rings.  So I figured if they don't want to answer it must not be important,,,  I do get frustrated and don't know how they got a hold of my cell phone number      How do I block calls from my cell phone?

This number calls our house every 15 min.  I have answered it and the person they are looking for  Ron Winter, does not live here.  I do not know anyone by that name...I have asked them to not call, speak to a supervisor...today I answered the phone and blue a whistle into the mouth....guess what?  They called back in 15 min.  People, get a life.    401-213-3328  Carolina, RI

First time I called - fast busy signal / bad number; second time I call 2 minutes later rang 20 x; third time I called fast busy signal.

Draw your own conclusions - I feel it is probably a forwarded or spoofed phone number from another source.

She just called my parents house looking for my father. Im not sure how many other times she has called but when we asked if it was a personal or business matter she said personal and hung up. We tried to call back and it was busy.

yes it is confirmd they are ARS and did call from a local area code, but so thankfully i could not get to it, so i did call back the local area code and jst like everyone else on this site is was a busy signal or just rand and said all circuits are busy. and disconnected me, so i tried about 4 times and
WOW so convienetly ARS called right back exactly the same 4 time i called the local number, becareful they will use many many many different numbers.

Unknown Caller...I think it is a collection agency for the credit card companies...I just let the call go...if I don't know the telephone #, I don't answer....

I've tried to ignore it, but she calls more than 6+ times a day.  I hate to have to change my phone number.  But it's getting annoying. And now she calls at night as well.
Every time I try to call the # back, it's always a "Busy" signal.
