You people must not know about the DO NOT CALL registry where you can receive a fine in the 10's of thousands for calling a registered DNC number. I have filed a complaint though FREE OF CHARGE so you get the proper instruction. Learn the laws of the country you are doing business in.

got a call just now. Reported it to FCC.com.
Please report these numbers to FCC, hopefully the government can take action against them.

Company name is VMS Alarms.  You can call and get a live person in sales 401-434-4585 to tell them to remove your name.  Just did this, it works!

take the number to national no call list. Copy and paste any one of the above reports along with your own report
to the complaint box. Copy and paste the 800notes.com link to the box also. This will re-inforce the complaint
and how many people are getting calls when registered on NNCL. It helps us all!

On do not call list.  Received call from this company omnipont. A telemarketer

401-434-4585. this is the companoes name and number. Give it back to em. I've been calling them back pissing them off all day tieing up THERE phone lines. VMS Alarms.

I have been getting calls none stop from these people daily!!! I have opted out of this process every time but still get the calls. Please stop them from harrassing me!!!!!

Remember as well:  If you call some 800ish number you see on TV or in ads, OR if you send in a reply letter for "free gift", "more info" etc, even if on DNC list that company or whom company sells to is allowed to call you for 90 days.  NOTE on DNC list:  This was created by policiticians to keep you from being bothered, but the very people who made the law exempted themselves FROM IT!  Way to Go Politicians.  I would rather deal with telemarketers than those clowns!

We have had pest calls from security alarm outfits before, but never one from this particular number. While many people report messages are left, pest callers never seem to leave messages on our phone  -- once in a while, a "lower your rates" scammer will leave a message -- so I wonder whether we are just lucky, or what?

      I found this on another site. CALL THEM and tell them the calls have been recorded and if they do not stop you will take legal action. I actually saw a news story of a man who made his living getting settlements from companies that were spamming him. Some pretty impressive checks too. Of course the calls were recorded and legalities were sorted. Good luck to all.

Thisis from a lead generation vendor that generates calland and leads for other companies. Often other companies don't know how scummy these lead gen companies are. I reached a nice guy at VMS security who gave me a vendor's number to call to add myself to their DNC list within 24 hours.  Worth a try - To remove yourself from at least one of these vendors call lists, call 1-503-457-1274. This is strictly an automated opt-out number.  Worht a shot. Good luck and keep filing those complaints.

5th call from these spammers

The Do Not Call list is a website the US government (FCC) operates for citizens to report spam calls, emails, texts, etc. I've made a practice of reporting spammers as soon as the call comes in, though keeping a list can be helpful because a lot of times the same spammer calls from different numbers.

Even if the spammer doesn't leave a message or if they disconnect you, if you're able to capture the number on caller ID, you can do a Google search and get more info about them if you want. There are several websites out there that act as a service to citizens and some of the posters go to great lengths to find out who called and to obtain alternate numbers so they can be reported too. The FCC offers places on their online form to provide as much info as you've been able to find out.

After you file a claim, they'll send you written documentation of your complaint. I've seen a huge reduction in the number of calls I get since I've started reporting them. It is a security company (recording) saying they will install a free alarm system.....call much to often!

I didn't answer as I didn't recognize the caller.  They called my cell phone. They did not leave a message.

Got a call from this number.  I am on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY.  This is a violator.

I tried to call back for this no. but I got a message 'the no you have dialed is not in service....".  I am applying for jobs I thought I missed a call from the recuriter. I was so worried.

I use verizon wireless, I can go on line and block numbers, will add this one to the blocked list!

WHAT PART OF THE  DO NOT CALL LIST DO THEE F****RS NOT UNDERSTAND!

This is yet another number from Tom from home protection, I get about 7-8 calls a day from this company from all different numbers.  This is my cell phone they are calling, all my numbers are on the do not call list.  I have asked nicely about a dozen times to get them to stop calling and when that didn't work I have tried these other tactics.
Told them I didn't own a home
Told them I already had a security system
Pretended not to speak English
got a sound effect of a fax machine to play so they think they are calling a fax machine.

I have two young children, as well as elderly grandparents, so if I hear my cell phone ring I drop what I am doing and go to it.  It is annoying if I am working and getting these calls it is harrassment and I don't know how to make it stop!  Blocking and/or setting them to a different ringtone don't work either as they call from a different number almost EVERY time!
