I got a call from 401-314-2090 and they did not leave a mssg. I am in Colorado and this area code is purportedly Newport, R.I. We just rec'd a mass email here at work, claiming a rash of complaints from employees (there are 1400 of us) who are getting automated car warranty expiration phone calls/emails, which our IT dept. looked into and are a scam. I rec'd a similar call from 440-290-2128. When you call it back it says "this number is not in service." When you look the number up on-line - the common denominator is another car warranty expiration service.

I have received repeated phone calls from this number from a vehicle warranty company.  They give you the option to delete your number from their files by pressing "2", which does nothing more than dis-connect the call.  You can speak to a representative by pressing "1" which I have done.  It always seems to be the same Indian man who answers.  The last time I pressed one and got the man on the line telling him this is the final time I'm asking to remove my name, he laughed and said "Sue me!"

If you try to dial the number, it comes up as a non working number.  This number also does not come up anywhere in phone number look ups.
