I finally got a easy way to stop the calls. I called 877-646-7319 last week. They had my phone number removed from the callers list and I haven't gotten anymore calls.
John 2011-06-06 20:46:56 Unknown
Missed the call and called back. Recording immediately stated to be removed from call list to press 1. I pressed 1 and hung up. waiting to see if I get any more calls from them.
Richard 2011-06-06 20:46:56 Unknown

They need to do us all a favor and choke themselves before I go up there and do it myself. Endless calls from them and 8662383820. Talked to a girl and called them out for being the same people. She was a really bad liar. Selling BS vehicle warranties. Unfvckng real. These people are what's wrong with the world today. Why trust is gone and nobody's word means Sh*t. They need to have their eyes gouged out and be Skullfvcked.

I called the 877-646-7319. No help. I called AT&T and the only thing they could do would be to charge me $5/month and then I could block the call. I can't believe these f-----'s in Podunk, RI can get away with this!!
Ram 2011-06-06 20:46:56 Unknown
I guess they are checking if there any human behind the numbers by asking you to press '1'. If you press '1' you will get more calls!

They called me a few times 2011-06-06 20:46:56 Unknown
They called a few times and immediately say, "I have the wrong number". I think it was a car-warranty salesman. I talked to him the first time and asked how they got my number. He said that last May (2009) a law passed and allowed cell numbers to be marketed. He said that he would remove my name. So, I think someone calls, then sees that it was to be removed and says opps I have the wrong number.
Still, it's annoying; especially that they have my number.
David 2011-06-06 20:46:56 Unknown
Yes, they are still hawking car warranty scams...
Do not do business with them. You're better off putting that money into a savings account on the off chance your car breaks down. And if it doesn't, you have a down payment ready for a new one. They probably wouldn't pay out for the breakdown anyway.
Car Servicing 2011-06-06 20:46:56 Unknown
I think if you get your car serviced somewhere, the company that services may forward your number to third parties. I just had my oil changed 2 days ago and started getting calls yesterday. The same thing happened last year when I went to Pep Boys.
Melissa 2011-06-06 20:46:56 Unknown
The guy calling said he was Ricky with Vehicle Protection Services.
ah 2011-06-06 20:46:56 Unknown
Just got a call from this number, (401) 365-6268, Pawtucket, RI. Didn't recognize it, so I didn't answer. Figured it might be one of those annoying calls so I typed in the number and it brought me to this page. No surprise!
vince 2011-06-06 20:46:56 Unknown
I have asked them to stop calling ten times just want them to stop calling
xquzme 2011-06-06 20:46:56 Unknown
who is behind it. We need to get to the bottom of this outfit. Any suggestions??
Mark 2011-06-06 20:46:56 Unknown
Identified themselves as "Vehicle Protection Services" and tried to tell me the warranty was up on a car I dont even own. When I asked them where they were based they said Southern California. When I asked for the city he got wise and hung up.
They are selling crap extended vehicle warranties that they dont honor. The Feds have shut down a number of operations like this but apparently this one has sprung up.
Do yourself and everyone else a failure and protect your fellow citizens from these scumbags and do the following:
1. File a complaint with your local State consumer protection agency
2. File a complaint with the Federal trade commission
3. File a complaint with your cellphone company
