Welcome to Pharma Hell.  These people will call constantly from all different numbers & will never stop.
The idea to put their phone numbers in ads it the best idea i have heard to deal with this.  This has been going on for years & i see no signs of stopping & nothing i can do.  Now putting their phone number in ads to get calls is probably the best advise i have heard to respond to these people.

From now on, every scam call I get is getting it right back.

I'll take out the craigslist ad and plug in their number.
I just wish I could be a fly on the wall to see how they react to calls from dozens of people asking about the "dirt cheap motorcycle, must sell, any offer accepted!" or "FREE (whatever fun stuff I can think of)".

It's a scam pharmacy. Here is what I did. first get blocklist plus for your mobile and only allow your contacts to call you (whitelist). then tell him you are going to do blow up his phone. Take out a free add on craigslist and use his number. It ties him up all day with bogus phone calls so he cannot scam. It works he has changed his voicemail and instructed them to call my number but, uh oh, blocklist just hangs up on annoying calls. later remove the add and then people who get his message have no idea what he is talking about. Fight the scammers don't lay down and take it. He goes by peter perez or joe. His buddy is danny with quickmeds.

All you can do is to block the number. Land lines have a blocking feature, and even though you might not realize it, cell phones have a blocking feature also. Call you cell phone provider and ask for the directions on how to use the feature. Blocking is the only way to stop the calls. Your number is passed around inside the India pharmacy sellers. The turn over in those sales groups is very high, and they give the phone call list to every new salesman they hire, just in case you might need something in the next decade.

I was on the phone when I got the call from Newport, RI and because I know no one there I did not answer it.  I was talking with my hubby who said that my mailorder CVS/Caremark was located in Rhode Island so I didn't worry.  They always leave a message.

I don't answer calls unless I know WHO is calling.  If its important, they will leave a message.  No message, not important.

This number called my cell. I dont have any idea who it is and from the looks of a google search, this number is used for scams.

Drug company, ordered from them 8 years ago and THEY WILL NOT STOP CALLING, tried blocking, used language that would make a sailor blush, NOTHING.  Will not stop!

I just got one from that number.  I called it back and a very foreign voice answered.

401-380-7912 called me and when i answered i was promptly hung up on... i called back and a heavily accented man  was very rude when i asked him what he wanted becuz he had called me and hung up and he told me to f myself and hungup on me again... i am not above being childish myself i called back and when he answered told him to do that same and hung up on him... i will probably never find out what was wanted and who it was that called me... but such is life...

Despite repeated requests for removal, they call incessantly.

They been calling me for ten years because I bought drugs on a one time basis. Now I go to my local pusher. You will never be free of the "pusher man." they will call you to the gates of Hell.

The same thing everyone is describing above has happened to me too. A few things that I have found that has helped:
1. As soon as they call with their "new" number, I add the number to the block list to my account on my phone carrier. My phone carrier allows 10 numbers which will be blocked for 30 days.

2. When I do answer, I don't say a word. I let THEM hang up. I read somewhere that this is more costly for them as they are just listening to dead air instead of trying to sell you prescriptions. I'm not sure how true this is - but it seems to work. Or at least I feel a little victorious that I have made them hang up without expending any energy.

oh and I wouldn't doubt that this Melanie was really one of them just trying to get you to answer the phone, they watch forums like these and post threads claiming to be a customer praising them for their service and any other thing they can think of..they are unscrupulous and must be getting rich.I am NOT saying Ms. Stark is one of them, only pointing out that this/these company/ies employ these tactics..if you research it you can find all their info, it's been a year or two since I read all that stuff or I would post a link..

yes this is one of a thousand numbers that calls about prescriptions, they have called me for years, they rotate thru many different numbers, good luck getting rid of them I have tried everything..answer, don't answer, curse, nice, dead of OD on whatever drug they said they were selling, etc etc anything u  can think of..I have even had them laugh at me because they know they are untouchable, they are calling from India routing thru a server here, when the problems arise from people getting angry they just dump the number and call from a new one..I have had my phone number for years and years or I would have changed it because of this..now I just store their numbers and let it go straight to voicemail, they leave a message every 8 or 10 calls or so I assumed they got my phone from one of the shady pain clinics I have been to over the years,I am a chronic pain sufferer and there are some crooked docs out there believe me, thru figured out people get desperate when in pain I guess, I hope nobody actually gave them money or credit card info or anything because they are just stealing money straight out

This same company has called my number on and off for years.  I've tried the nice thing, don't have or want any RX products.  I have tried the not answer thing, no message ever left.  I now answer their calls and totally curse them out, put the phone on a radio speaker very loud, answer and lay the phone down.  I have plenty of time and minutes.  They know me now and I'm sure they dread my number.  I just don't get it, I've never purchased anything there but they know my name and address.  I even tried saying that person is deceased, they answer back no he's not and we know where you live.  Once they told me I really needed some mental help.  Really......They use about 5 different numbers.  Good luck getting them gone!

Called minutes ago, claimed his name was "Brian" and said he was with some a nondescript company name of "Health Care Provider". Spam.

Melanie: Yes, if you are waiting for a call from someone, answer the phone. Otherwise, screw 'em and leave whatever you want on your answering machine for them to hear and don't pick up.

Did you leave a message? If not, you lost out on the chance of hiring a good worker, perhaps. Why are you averse to leaving a message for someone, especially if you are looking for a worker to fill a job? Stop complaining and leave a message.

I use U-Verse, and we are able to turn the phones off, leaving callers to leave a message if they so desire. We can also block certain numbers. You call and can't speak English or try to sell me drugs, your number goes on the list.

Telling these callers that "Fed Up" died has really cut down on the telemarketing calls. When I scroll through the list to see who has called and not left a message, we hardly see any now.

Tell these idiots the person they are calling died.

Called and I answered because I was taking a bath and couldn't read the Caller ID.

You'd think they would at least hire people who speak English that people can understand. I have no clue what he said. I said, "Hello" twice, and he said something in between.

After TONS of calls with no mssg left, I finally answered.  The foreign-accented man knew my name & claimed to have a prescription for me for some kind of hydrocodone drug. He said they had a discount for me for this prescription.  When I said that I had no such prescription, he hung up on me!!!!  WEIRD!!

After tons of calls, I finally answered.  They knew my name & told me they had a prescription for a pain killer - Vicodin, I think. He - with foreign accent- told me they had a discount for me.  When I said that I had no prescription for that drug, he hung up on me!!!!  CREEPY !!!!

This number phones incessantly. It's listed on my ID as "Rhode Island call" and as I know no one in Rhode Island, I usually ignore it. Today I answered the second call within 6 hours and heard only background noise and no response.

The way people totally disregard the DO NOT CALL lists and laws, you think its "dumb" that someone would not answer a call who has their CID blocked?

Maybe you need to rethink your methods, even if you are calling people about "jobs". Don't call them anonymously if you're trying to get the best employee for the position you wish to fill.
It seems like a plus to find someone who's taken the initiative to control inbound calls effectively.

I'd hope that any perspective employer would have better manners than to call anyone "dumb".

if they want me bad enough then they need to leave a message. I will complain as well. I am unable to answer my phone due to a little thing called a JOB....This number calls me all day and if I do answer they say nothing.

No law against not leaving a message.   If you don't answer the phone then you can't complain.  I was calling people for jobs the other day and some had recordings to the effect "we do not accept calls from private callers, if you want to reach this party, unblock you number and call back".  How dumb they just lost an opportunity for a job.   Answer your phone if you want to know who it is and stop complaining online about people not leaving messages.

Calls, does not leave a message. I never pick up. I wish we could put an end to this garbage!
