Hi!  Same situation with the pool table!  My email was exactly worded as the one listed above.  She even Fed ex'd me a check.  Typed in the memo column was the words 'certified check'.  I also was shocked that the check was written for $1700 more than i was asking!  When I wrote to let 'Jade' know she told me i was to cash the check and take my portion then Western Union the balance to Denise Cockey.  Yeah right!  Check was not Certified!  She was going to scam me!  If I fell for it i would have kept the money for the pool table and sent $1700 cash to Western Union.  then the check would have bounced and i would have been out all that money.  
WATCH the names Jade Carpenter and Denise Cockey.  Also check comes from TALK International.

yep, this is so interesting. they went from wedding dresses > wedding supplies > sewing machines > now pool tables. I listed one yesterday and woke this morning to have a message from them as well.

I always try to do a check on anyone I deal with online. You just never know. I have not replied to them yet. I have thought about just copying some of these posts, since there are no personal info listed, & just sending it all back to them. But think I will send a simple, yes it is still available. Waiting to see their reply & posting it here for others to be aware of and then, coping all of these & sending it to them.Maybe if they see all the people that are on to them they will get a clue. How do people just sit around and do that? Nothing better to do? maybe it some kids (teens) messing with people. Well, doesn't matter - kids or adults, it's not right. but I will be letting Craigs list know as I am sure many have. In the email Craigslist sends a link to report scammers, easily.  What do these people get out of doing this? Are they getting money somehow? or are they just getting people to take it off & "consider it sold" so they waste their time? I received the same type of scam from my CL ad for a sewing machine. I searched on the email addy and found this site!! I thought it smelled of a scam! Here is what I got after the initial contact:

I was ALSO selling my wedding gown via craigslist and this person (MS JADE) offered to buy, have a courier pick up at a location of my choosing AFTER the cashier check cleared with my bank. HA HA HA that brought up a red flag. WHY would a person up and buy a wedding gown without seeing it in person or even trying it on?! I'm tempted to get them to send me their "cashiers check" which of course won't clear - OR, it may clear initially, then you'll get a letter from the bank saying it was a bogus check and now you owe your bank money.  I was going to send them a box of dog s*** and dead birds - buy I'm Italian, so that how I think! LOL!  They are ALL men!  I've been married three times (Oh, well), and I always picked out my dress and tried it on before paying for it.
