Possibly Assurity Law in Irvine Orange Co.??? - they use robo-calling.
Peter C 2011-12-01 20:39:41 Telemarketer
Was called from 401-558-0009 with a recording by "Julia" from "Debt Pro's". It's a spoofed number of course, for lots more reports about Debt Pros and the other phone numbers they use, see http://www.google.com/search?q=%22debt+pros%22+telemarketer
Hung on long enough to get a real person, who took basic info about my "credit card debt over $10,000" and then said "let me transfer you to my rep who can go over some options with you.
After holding with music for a while, they dropped the call, the same lady I talked to called me right back, this time with caller id 0000000000 who said the "call got disconnected", and said, again, she would transfer me.
After about 1 minute, she came back on the line and said she was transferring me to Sherman of Surety Law Corp, and soon I was talking to him. He told me "thanks for calling", and explained they were a "dispute resolution, bankruptcy, and litigation" firm, "A-rated with the Better Business Bureau". I managed to get out of him that they were located in southern California.
After wasting his time for a little while, he caught on, and hung up.

Called the first time and left no message. Called right back. Left a long message that I qualify to sue my mortgage lender. And a merry Christmas to you all too.
JHM 2011-11-03 00:29:44 Telemarketer
Another spam call from these mortgage modification scammers. They call about 5-8 times a week like clock work - every time it's the same recorded message. They do switch the phone numbers around though - at least it keeps it interesting.
Useless baboons.
McFraud 2011-11-02 22:51:38 Telemarketer
Thyese Bozos use spoofed numbers and Robo Calls, both illegal. And, when I push one, they can't tranfer to a live idiot without disconnecting.
Ruf 2011-10-20 18:08:01 Unknown
Believe or not, avoiding the calls or hanging up on them actually makes their jobs much easier.
Talk to them and waste their time. They read from a stupid script so just play along.
Provide them with false information and keep them on the phone for as long as possible.
Make them regret that they called you. Don't get mad...get even.
Heidi 2011-10-11 01:14:02 Unknown
Play along w/ them, feign interest, give phony info if need be, eventually you'll get connected with someone who has to give out their company name - then U got'tem by the 'nads - time to squeeze hard, and get paid for your trouble!
Billymac 2011-09-27 16:36:11 Unknown
The whole purpose of the "Do Not Call list" was to stop these calls
PO'd 2011-09-16 01:08:55 Telemarketer
If you really want to dump these idiots - it's EASY.
Answer the call as "Officer Smith, Fraud Division, how may I help you" They dump you like a hot potatoe.
If you want to REALLY WASTE THEIR TIME, just answer the phone normally, get THEIR NAME, Company NAME and THEIR Direct Call back Number, just in case you get disconnected. Let them give their sales pitch, THEN introduce yourself as Office Smith, Fraud Division. They will S**T a Brick.
Tell them you ARE now reporting the individual Name, and number to the FCC. They drop you real quick when their name is attached. I had one women PLEAD with me to not report her name and personel Cell that she gave me. I never heard from them again.
I do not advocate ever impersonating a law enforcement official - but it Really works with these scum scammers.

THEY CONTINUE TO CALL, TRYING TO SELL LOWER MORTGAGE RATES. HOW DOES ONE REPORT THIS TO THE FCC?
PO'd 2011-09-15 17:52:25 Telemarketer
SCAM - Reducions to my VA Loan - I do not have. Do Not hit 2 for do not call list it just disconnects you. Hit 1 , Get the Person's NAME and ask for a number in case you are disconnected. NOW ask why they are violating the DO NOT CALL list. Explain that you are now going to report them and use THEIR name and NUMBER when you report it. It's amazing how fast they drop you.

1-401-558-0009 Help u Save (lol)
Scam. Recorded scam to get me to "refinance" V.A. Mortgage and SAVE.
first, I don't have a Mortgage. Second I'm on the Do Not Call List. Third, the Govt will do nothing to these scammers because they'll just pay off the crooks in the Govt. The so called Government is just a Treasonous Oppressive Bureaucracy any more.
Me 2011-09-06 19:58:13 Unknown
I agree...I have done it all..screamed, pressed 1 or whatever to get name off list..they change numbers and name and call again...same voices!!...I called my phone company..they have nothing they can do...I see it as harassment but they say no way to stop them. I am incensed.
renter 2011-09-06 19:36:20 Unknown
They continue to call me even though I have no Mortgage. I have tried staying on the line but they always disconnect me. Maybe another kind of scam. I am also on the do not call list. Why is no one pursuiiing this with all the complaints??

don't call 888-556-7682. Calling that number will guarantee the calling number (yours) will be tagged as a live wire. The onslaught of spam/scam will notch up to a degree where your only relief will be to cancel that phone service.
susan h 2011-08-11 19:13:52 Unknown
no they won't. bad advice, andy.
Calling that number will guarantee the calling number (yours) will be tagged as a live wire. The onslaught of spam/scam will notch up to a degree where the only relief to be found will be to cut of the line.

just got called . . . again. government home mortgage crap.
susan h 2011-08-09 20:50:12 Unknown
just got a call offering government assistance for buying a home. Right. Sure. Press 1 if you're interested; press 2 if you want to be taken off our call list. I tried pressing 2 . . . nothing happened. Go figure. What's the point of having the DNC list if those of us on it are gonna continue to get these calls?
Andy 2011-07-29 18:01:14 Unknown
Call 888-556-7682, they will remove your phone number from the caller's list and will stop the phone calls.

Caller ID: East Greenwi RI Recording 'LOWER YOUR "BA" MORTGAGE' not "BA", as in, ' B of A ' or Bank of America. Definitely, did not say "VA", although it could easily be misunderstood. Pressed 2 to be removed from list.

I am constantly receiving calls from the above number -- three calls on July 21, 2011 and 3 calls on July 22, 2011. I do not wish to take adavntage of their offer and all I get is a recording without a chance to tell them to stop calling.
I am on the National Do Not Call List and shouldn't be getting these calls in the first place.
I do not wish to get a security system for my home and NEVER signed up to receive this service nor these phone calls.
I want the calls to STOP immediately
oma 2011-07-22 17:07:56 Unknown
i received a call from this number and i did not answer because i have no idea who this number belongs to.
S. H. 2011-06-06 20:46:58 Unknown
No one spoke when I answered, but you could hear some sort of background noises. I said "hello" several times, but no one ever spoke.
quarklll 2011-06-06 20:46:58 Unknown
