Not expecting any calls from Rhode Island so I ignored this. Reading some of these reports I wish I'd answered. It might have been entertaining hearing some clueless wonder claiming to be the FBI even though they a) should be on furlough right now and b) I'm in Canada where they have zero jurisdiction.

Just got a call from this number and no one there.  What is this scam, please explain

I just got a call which I will add to my block list.  I will now get no ring but will get a list of blocked calls on my phone.
I have the Panasonic cordless telephone  Model kx-tg6842b (2 handsets)
You can block 250 numbers plus kill the one ring that existed on earlier models that only allowed 30 blocked numbers.
The one handset model sells for $70 at Amazon.

Just got this call, I never answer.....scammers have tried to scam me for a long time now lol I never answer a number I am unsure of anyway....What a world!!!

The old Home Security scam is back from a year ago.The scammers have been out in force the past week due to the government shutdown. They have no fear because the FCC, and FTC and the DNC are all shut down.

Home security promo caller, maybe fraud or worse. Answers "Security Department."  and says, "There have been home break-ins..."

just got called by same number

Alarm scam robo-call with the bogus "FBI" message. I jokingly asked them how the FBI could be operating during the government shutdown, and they hung up...

Called at 10:45 Oct 10,2013. The message was " The FBI reports there has been a high percentage of break-in in you area"  I did not listen to any more, and hung up. I live in Edmonton, Alberta Canada.

Called at 10:37 AM.  No message.
