Probably scammer.

When I answered there was a slight pause before I was actually connected to someone so it must be some sort of automated dialing.

They said they were "The Chimney Company" in Cumberland [Rhode Island] and were doing half off chimney cleaning and fire inspection. I told them I'm all set and they immediately hung up.

I can find NO TRACE of a company called "The Chimney Company" in Cumberland!

I have received repeated calls from this number and the one time I picked up there was no one there; so I do not answer these calls anymore.

Number keeps calling..when we answer, no response or a hang up.  When we try calling back, number doesn't ring through!!  A real nuisance!  If we let it ring through, no message is ever left..can we block this number?

They call on a regular basis, but there is NEVER anybody on the line. It disconnects after a few seconds. No message ever.

I get this call muktiple times daily and when I pick up no one answers. I called back and the number 707-9337 does not pick up

someone from this number has been calling for two weeks. the talk in the background was " don't say a thing on the phone". the next time I heard anything was " I'm not telling them that s*** " . sometimes it sounds like small children in the background. I've called back and of course can't get through.

Just got another call from this number. Found out online this is  hacked.

I was called  by this number and no one was on the phone and you can"t return the call.

This number keeps appearing on my ID caller . I answered \after many calls and he indicated that he would like to schedule a chimney sweep..  How rediculous as I have never called that number ever to schedule anything.

I just found out that any number one does not recognize may block it from their phone  system with just  minor  action on their part.

I have blocked that number from reching me at any time.

I kept the guy on the line. He said he was with American Energy in Woonsocket and they wanted to clean my chimney. I told them about the do not call list and that I would report them. He hung up.

I believe somebody is trying to raise $$$$ ! This number appears on my caller ID, I didn't answer. If I don't recognize the # I won't pick up.

If they call me again I am going to set up an appointment and then clean  their chimney!!!!!!!

No message left ... just indicated on my caller ID.  Must be in RI.

Also considered changing my phone number, but read that these people sell phone lists to each other so why go through the expense of that?  There is no guarantee that they won't stop calling.  Besides, there is also the risk that I'll get an old number that has been having this same kind of problem.  Don't need to inherit somebody else's headache.  Got enough of one of my own.

Called with "Unavailable" for the caller ID.  They hung up.  I've disconnected my answering machine because calls like this come in all the time now.  My phone has a computer voice that announces who the call is from.  Seems like the phone equivalent of spam email - and at this point, just as many are coming in.  I don't answer any numbers if the caller ID is not given.  I am on the "do not call list."  Can't block any more numbers.  My phone has reached its blocked calls limit.

There're offering a special on chiminey sweeping.

Was silent when I picked up. Heard no laughter as reported by others.

3 rings and they hung up. caller id brought me here. also on do not call list. our phone company allows us to list numbers to be blocked.  they made that list.

This number has now called me every day for three days straight.  I listened to message, it's laughing and people in background and then they hang up.   I tried to call it back and it says the number is not available!!   What the heck?????

Called wanting to clean our chimney.  Claimed to be the company we've used in the past yet asked to check the information they had on file.  When I questioned why they said well sometimes their computer acts up.  Then I got passed over to another person, called them out on it and hung up.  *69'd the number & called back but doesn't go through.

Called me on Friday and told them to remove name from list, our phone number is unlisted AND registered w/ DO NOT CALL list.  He claimed our phone number is not unlisted...IT IS.

i got five  calls from this number, four were hang ups . the 5 th call he wanted to check  out my chimney
