I missed call from this number several times (in February/March 2008), once I got it (in Slovakia), but it was noise and hello only on the opposite side.

I get calls here in Denmark from this number about 20 times the last 3 weeks. The first 4-5 times I answered the phone, but could not understand anything. After that I did not answer. Sometimes they call me from this number 3-4 times within 10 minutes. Does anybody know anything about this number?

Caller from this # (401)709-4297 claims to be calling for APC (American Power Conversion) company to do customer survey.  When calling the # back after about 10 rings a message system answers stating the company is "Opinion Factor" and all reps are busy.

I received 2 calls within 10 minutes of one another. they came from different places:

My home phone rang and a guy claims to be calling for APC (American Power Conversion) company to do customer survey. With in the first thirty seconds of the call my cell phone rings and I cut him short and tell him i'm busy. When I answer my cell there is no one on the line but its from this 401-709-4297 number. Thats when I start thimking that was strange and start searching the web and find that these to numbers are linked. But when you call it back its diconnected.

Missed a call from this number today, on my Dutch landline.
I know APC has my number on file.

I get one call from this number in Portugal, but was to noise to understand what they want, I asked to call later.

There are more problems at Portable Insights, used to be called opinion factor, than just the unwanted calls. They are run by Jim Lamothe and Bart de Bont. I saw this website that he is in called opinionfactor.wetpaint.com that talks about the how Bart was the COO of that company and is a convicted criminal and embezeller.  Bart de bont has like 20+ convictions for embezelment and he runs the company with Jim Lamothe.  They are being suied right now. These guys are bad!

Opinion Factor renamed itself Portable Insights. It is a rhode ilsand based company.

Telemarketing call

The company is Opinion Factor. It is owned by a slime ball named Bart de bont. He has a very extensive criminal record. You can see his record on www.ri.gov do a criminal search under his name.

This number called on 4-26-08 and showed up on my caller ID. Was not home at the time the call was made.  I did a reverse search and found no information, but did notice this number on google and noticed it was a popular number with everyone else.
Thanks for the posts and will be on the lookout for this number to ring in again.

Received several calls from this number over a couple of weeks. When I finally answered, the guy claimed to be calling regarding Aetna Insurance. I told him I didn't have insurance with Aetna. He seemed genuinely surprised and said "sorry" and hung up.

Same as almost every one else.   Called, left no message.

I got a call from this number last night at 5:42 pm.  They ask to speak to my using my first name.  When I said this was her, they hung up.  Has this happened to anyone else?

Got a call from this number. Did not answer. I am on the "Do Not Call" list (www.donotcall.gov) so hopefully not a telemarketer.... ?

I hate telemarketers!  Learn your rights -- you can sue them in small claims court AND WIN!  I have collected over $2000 in the last two years from one jerk company.  They even called me during the pending case!
