FTC: "Robocall challenge" winner to receive $50,000

By now, everyone should have figured out that the FTC
DO NOT CALL LIST [so-called] IS JUST A BIG JOKE.  
However, everyone should keep filing their complaints,
and to keep their own respective log regarding same.
Here is an example of my own personal log-book, which
is very easily and simply kept by using "TEXT:"

I keep a separate TEXT FILE named for each and every
number I receive these damned calls from, and then to
just add to it, most recent call at the top.

Nothing is going to happen on this, unless "EVERYONE"
continually bombards the FBI, your CONGRESSMAN,
your LOCAL TV NEWS, any and all NEWSPAPERS, etc.
I have been doing this myself, but will not continue to
be the only one doing it.  Strongly suspect that at least
the FBI has now "black-balled" my email name.  Either
that, or they simply responnd as "NOT READ," just as my
Congresswoman; Kay Granger of Texas has also done.

5 calls today. I don't answer. It is a local number for me (same area code and city exchange.)

This company calls at least twice a day--has been calling for several weeks.  please stop the calls.  Thank you

Several calls a day.  Have a do not call number.  How do I stop these calls?

When will it stop??? Like others I get these calls with no answer when I answer.  SCREW them and screw the no-call list - it means nothing.  If our government cannot protect us from this kind of private invasion what can they protect us from.  A JOKE.  Get caller ID. Don't ever answer the phone and move on. AND screw the scammers. crammers, and low life jerks in the government who cannot protect us.  God Bless America!!!!

We have gotten four of these calls in two days. If it's really a Verizon number shouldn't we all bombard Verizon with angry calls of our own to get this stopped?
Someone else suggested it was supposedly a company called JD Alarm Alliance. As coincidence would have it these same jerks have called us numerous times using various versions of that "Alarm co" name and my husband has reported them to the Do Not Call List violators site.  They should be getting fined about $1000 per violation but I sure don't see the Do Not Call folks doing anything to stop them!

Next Monday (10th) lets all call that phone number about a dozen times or so.

Calls constantly. When I call back it gives me a Verizon operator asking for my mailbox number or to leave a message I am directed to call the number again or it just has silence on the other end.

I do not answer calls when I don't recognize the number on my caller ID. Out of curiosity, I returned this call that showed it was coming from Providence, RI and asked them the company name. They said, JD Alarm Alliance. I asked them to spell it and they said it is really "Monitronics, Co, a division of GE". I told them our number is registered on the donotcall.gov list and asked that they take our phone number off their calling list. He said he would. The next morning at 9:00 am, they called again. I have reported them to the FTC for violation.

I have been receiving calls from this number for some time now, but today it has gone too far. Two calls within a 30 minute period. I was unable to have them speak when they called but when I called back they picked up telling me they would like to sell me a security system like I see on TV. The first time I told them that I was not interested, very nicely, and asked them not to call this number. Even if this individual or company is exempt from do not call, asking them not to call is just as good as the list, and they must stop calling. You know that never stops these clown, though.

Less than 30 minutes later I received another call, again no one saying anything but from the same number. They must think they are cute since the second time it came up Cranston, RI when the first time it only had the number. I have been around the block a few times and know the tricks, and this old trick is only going to fool the old and blind. Anyway, I call back a second time and the same man starts telling me about the same security system I told him to take a hike about just 30 minutes earlier. This time I was not so nice.

Lesson to be learned: If these people call you, just scream at the top of your lungs if you can actually get someone on the line. I am not sure if this is a real company or just some nut trying to get information from people, but in the weeks to come I will be looking into it, something the A.G. in PA surely does not seem to want to be bothered with.

This is a Verizon phone number. AT&T has nothing to do with this number. You are bad mouthing the wrong "mother"!

They just called me the second I answer the phone the line disconnects probably a cold call by a telemarketer lets see where this leads too

This number calls us continuously but no one is there when we answer.
We are on the no call list but no one seems to pay attention to that fact.

Got a call from this number yesterday and again this morning.  Both times I answered and no one said anything then the line opened up as if it were disconnected.  Caller ID shows Providence RI.  Reverse lookup indicates number belongs to Asian Delite in Cranston.

All I want is their mailing address so I can send a bill to em. 1000.00 a pop,
maybe I should send the bill to Ma Bell for allowing this person to make a call
to a do not call number. If it started costing AT&T some real money about
calling a do not call number, it just might stop and quick.

i get these calls several times a day.  who are these people and how did they get my number.  i don't answer it, but they dont leave a message either...wish they would stop calling....

I just started getting calls from this number. No response when answered... says it is a Rhode Island Area Code when I checked (401).

I get a call from them at least once a day. I don't know who they are and I want the calls stoped

We are receiving calls from this number as well and we are a business.  I looked this number up via internet and it says it is "Asian Delite"

No Message.  Assuming it s another political caller bouncing off different phone numbers.  I hope this stops after November.  Who do I vote for to stop these calls?

Me too.  And if you call them, it says the mailbox is empty.

For the past two weeks have been getting calls from this number, leaves no message, no response when I pick up.
