Yeah just got a call saying it was sprint regarding an urgent matter and they gave me the last four digits of a phone number that wasn't even mine. Friggin creepy nebraska

This is Sprint & it the last 4 numbers of your account, not your phone number... I have Sprint & yes it IS them! :)

They left a message regarding a phone number I do not have. They left a call back number 800-934-6951. I called and it is a fast busy signal. SCAM

The number that you are reading up on called me today saying they are sprint. They got my name correct but the number they were speaking about was wrong. I also noticed that it was not a 1888 number please be aware fellow phone users, I urge you not to share any information with this number. Hopefully it is not too late and you will become informed.

This company has sent us robo calls asking for someone we never knew to urgently call them at 1-800-934-6951. This has been going on for the last seven years, since we changed our landline home phone number under duress (lost all service with AT&T immediately after complaining for the umpteenth time!). The AT&T a-holes also cancelled our phone number so we couldn't transfer it!!!  We eventually went digital with Comcast (also our high-speed internet provider), and we couldn't be happier except for these annoying calls early in the morning or late at night, weekends and holidays included!

This company may be legitimate, but I wouldn't give them any info. other than name, phone number and address. They just called again early this morning, and this time I used my caller ID to identify them and call them back. I went through 4 supervisors, with the last one a real a***ole who hanged up on me after being on the phone over 30 minutes!

My caller ID identified this company as Prairie Systems (aka Sprint Wireless Finance?) located in Omaha, NE 68102.
I tried getting a street address using reverse telephone number lookup, nut nothing was found! Therefore, apparently there are no public records on this company! Very strange indeed! This could be almost anything! Be very very careful! Do not assume anything!!!! My wife has talked with a rep. probably a hundred times, and the calls went from 6 times a day to daily, to weekly and eventually to almost monthly. We can't get them to stop, even when I threatened to sue them this morning! I hope at this point I can just block their telephone number (if it even helps). Not worth my time to sue them.

Called Sprint, they said it was from them, and they needed to verify my employment at my work so I can continue to receive my discount. For me, it was legit

Sprint does not call you they send you a text or email reminding you of your payment. Also sprint has a 800 number not a local number I have recieved calls from this number as well and have come to find out that it is a scam. Considering Ive been with sprint for 10 years and have never got a call from them about my bill or anything else. SCAM all the way

The number is Sprint and the last four digits they leave is the last four of your account NOT your phone number. They leave an 800 number to call.  Talking to customer support about the 402-220-1561 number would be useless because they don't know what type of automated system the company uses.

It is not Sprint... I just called them and it is definitely not them... For those of you that are late on your Sprint bill and got this call, it was just a coincidence... Do NOT give anyone from this number your information... They are not associated with Sprint...

I just received the same thing, they left a voicemail, had my name right but the last 4 digits of my number were wrong and my bill is not late! It is a scam, granted they have Sprint info, but not accurate and Sprint would not dial your cell phone and leave a message with the wrong numbers.

Its definately Sprint, they called me because my bill was one day late, which it was.

Sprint Sucks,  I haaaaaaaaaaaaaaate them, 6 days and they can fix a account problem and there is nobody you can talk to, to fix it. Is the worst service related to telephone companies.

I called sprint. This is a LEGITAMENT call from their customer credit & collections department. Apparently some idiot didnt put the payment arrangements I made into the computer.

It reminds me to pay my sprint bill. I never trust them, so I hang up and call sprint directly on their own number to pay my bill.  I always owe sprint money anyway, I forget to pay a lot. Therefore, even if it is a scam (which is very possible), it helps me keep my sprint bill paid.

This is NOT SPRINT. I have Sprint and have paid my bill. I confirmed this with Sprint and this is A SCAM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you want to verify it call Sprint directly at  800-927-2199.

Total scam. I got a phone call today about an account I never had. They asked me for my social.

I used to work for Sprint and the IS their auto-dialer calling to remind you that your Sprint bill is past due.  This number calls you just prior to your line being disconnected.  Trust me, this is NOT a scam.  I even get it from time to time.

1000's of people are impacted by identity theft each and every week! NEVER EVER GIVE PRIVATE INFORMATION OVER AN INBOUND CALL! Always contact your service provider directly.

I just received this call today and they it was a law office and something about a civil case asking me to verify my SS# number. Told them they were crazy and hung up them phone.

Sprint. It's NOT a scam, as they ONLY call me when I'm past-due on my actual Sprint bill. That's not information readily available to anyone but Sprint. Chill, people.

It's an automated message from Sprint Financial Care.  Was past due last week, made the payment and still in the system.  C'mon August!  Conteact almost up!

I just got the call. The 4 digits are not from your phone number. Your account number and phone number have 2 different numbers! They gave me the last 4 digits of my ACCOUNT number. And I called it back, it was indeed Sprint. I said I knew my bill was late, and I was working on getting it paid and such. This is NOT a scam!

This is clearly a Scam, supposedly from Sprint, but rest assured it is a rip.
How do they ascertain an acct # from a zip code?
And a bogus figure that's not close to monthly amount.

I do have sprint and my bill was due but I never answer any number I  do not recognise. They left message and I did pay my bill.

Agree it's not Sprint but 402-220-1561 can be spoofed https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caller_ID_spoofing so it might not even be Qwest or Century Link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qwest
