Just a note, it is illegal for them to leave a message without your written permission.  (due to the TCPA Act).  They have been hired by the bank to call existing customers.  If you have an established business relationship with the bank (business in past 6 months), federal law allows the calls, even if you are on a DNC list.  If you want the calls to stop, contact your bank!  FYI:  most 'opt out' or DNC programs do have expiration dates & you have to re-apply!  Deal with the bank 1st to be removed.  Calling the call center can put you on the call center's DNC, but won't help if the bank has more than 1 call center calling you.  As an added note, they do not have any access to account info!

They called me Nov 6 about health insurance. They also asked for my SS # and the spelling of my name. I should make sure its from Wells Fargo. They told me to call 800 572 5848 to cancel.

They  have been calling several times a day.  We let the answering machine pick up all calls and they do not leave a message.  Calls start right after 8 AM and call up to 9 PM.  We are on the do not call list.

Company: Call Response.

Nick (idiot) called from this number 402-223-2160 on 08/13/08 insisting to speak with my wife. I asked who was calling and all he would say is that he is Nick and "May I speak with xxxxx xxxxxxx". I kept asking who and why he was calling and he kept responding with "I need to speak with xxxxx xxxxxxx" and " Are you xxxx xxxxxx" and "I need to speak with the card holder".

I asked him why and he kept repeating himself and then said he would call back. I told him to f*** off several times. I then called the number back and listeded to a recording that said to call 402-228 8322 for to speak with management.

I called that number and spoke with a lady who apologized and said she would place me on the do not call list too.

Wells Fargo is notorious for using them as a call for over priced insurance.  Even if you ask not to be called, Wells Fargo will resupply your phone number to them.

For those wanting to know, here is the beloved President and CEO of Wells Fargo information,  Maybe he would like you to call him at home an explain how you feel regarding all the calls at your home.

Have fun with this information.  Unfortunatley for him, maybe his number should be put on Custom Responses call list.  Maybe we can all oblige by calling him around supper time, or early mornings.  Remember he's in the Central Time Zone for those wanting to judge what time to give him a call.

This number calls numerous times a day and hangs up on the answering machine. They have been calling for weeks now. It would make sense that it is Wells Fargo considering that we have other products through them. Also on no call list but it doesn't seem to matter.

i have received multiple calls a day from this number for the last two-three weeks....they NEVER leave a message and dialing back a voice says "thank you for calling, one moment please" and then it sounds like they are transferring me to a person but the call disconnects. Same thing happens if you press the "remove me" option - sounds like a transfer but disconnects.

They call at least 4 times every day!!! I wish they'd go away!!!! I get feed up with the calls. I never have a cordless phone with me, I get up to see who's calling and it's them again, Customer Response!!! Like others, I'm on the do-not-call list. However, I don't see what good it does....

May 6th 2008- Received hang-up calls in the morning and evening from 4022232160 I hit star 69 each time to get the number.  Tried calling back but no answer.  Ran a search on Internet and found many complaints for this number including this site.  A previous post listed 402-228-8322 as an alternative contact number.  I called that number and spoke with a polite woman named "Jennifer" who confirmed the 402-223-2160 was one of their numbers and indentified the company as "Custom Response Teleservices"  According to "Jennifer" their company is a call center for numerous Banks, Wells Fargo is only one of many their clients.  At her suggestion, I allowed gave her my number and she said I would be put on the "Don Not Call" list.  This may not have been a wise thing to do but we'll see.  I am already on the Do Not Call registry so I don't understand why that wouldn't have been sufficient in the first place.

I was so fed up with these annoying calls that I phoned them back.  A recorded message from Wells Fargo says you can leave a message to be removed from their call list.  It also offers the option of speaking with someone in "management" if you call 402-228-8322.  When I called, a live person answered the phone (surprising)and told me I was removed from the list.  I complained about the odd hours that I'd been receiving the calls and was told they can call you anytime between 9am and 9pm.

It takes a moment for someone on the other end to pick up after we answer the incoming call.  They say it's for Wells Fargo r/t an insurance offer.  Again this year we answered the first of MANY calls in an effort to prevent ongoing frequesnt calls but even though we indicated we were not interested and we wanted to be removed from the calling list....the calls have persisted.  Two solid months and 3 "remove us from the call list" later, they are still coming in.  Yesterday we asked the rep what we needed to do to make certain the calls were stopped....he hung up on us.  Never fear....they called three times today and we once again we indicated NO interest in purchasing insurance and asked to be removed from the call list for the fourth time. We asked why our request had not been honored in the past and again we were told "it had been taken care of".  We were assured it would be and we were told to call AIG @ 1-800-572-5848 if we had additional questions or concerns.  One can only hope Wells Fargo isn't paying "by the call" for this service.

The young man says he was calling on behalf of Wells Fargo.  They were going to give me free medical insurance for 60 days and if I didn't want it after 60 days I'd have to call to cancel.  They wanted to confirm my mailing address and spelling of my name.  I declined.  It sounded like he was calling from a large call center.

the best way to totally eliminate this anoyance is to call verizon, etc. & have this call blocked from your phone.  I had this problem w/ another company & finally decided to call my phoner carrier to have this number blocked.  

Now, it appears I will have to add this number to the "Blocked" List.

I found this website for those that are fed up like I am. Just call and if there are enough of us they will be shut down and we can be done with this stuff.
