I'm confounded by ths majority of responses in this list. What part of law and DO NOT CALL is almost everyone missing here. I'm reporting them, just like they would do if I robo-called them!!!!!

I'd think replying to a post over 11 years old would be sort of idiotic as well! Might want to look in the mirror there!

They just called me in regards to a Move with Cox - Left me a bad telephone number to call him back. 844-cox-move. Number was disconnected. I called the 866 number on the cox website and handled everything. Why would they leave me a disconnected number?? This is WHY I dont answer phone calls from people I dont know.
Marie 2013-10-15 21:21:34 Unknown
Calls me every few days. The most annoying thing I've ever experienced. Does not leave a message.
--- 2013-10-14 22:03:41 Unknown
Ummm all of these people saying they got a great deal on their internet service are full of sh** and probably scammers and phishers hired by whoever this is. They obviously got my number from career builder where I posted my resume. Yup. Just an innocent, unsuspecting recent graduate trying to get a job, hopeful at every phone call that I might get an interview...but instead I have been getting this calls from various numbers 4-5 times a day for months. I have a job now, and you people are interrupting my work. Seriously in this day and age? Buy some ad words and stop.

It's a predictive dialing contractor in East Nebraska, Timberline Total Solutions. Most reported calls are made on behalf of Cox Communications to subscribers, therefore FTC DNC does not apply. You must be very clear about adding your number to their internal DNC list, and even then you may get a call barrage every time Cox has a new sales campaign.
Laurie 2011-06-06 20:47:01 Unknown
They call everyday, sometimes 2-3 times a day. I have caller ID so I do not answer the call if I do not know the number or the person who is calling! This is getting out of hand, my roommate and I are on the DO NOT CALL LIST! I want them to stop calling!
The number they are calling from is 1-402-255-5029
Thanks!

Yeah I HATE it when I get telemarketing calls on my work cell because I have to answer my work phone, I can't ignore unknown calls in case it is one of our clients because I don't have every single number they might call me from saved in the phone book, I wouldn't have room for all those.
Ugh, annoying. As soon as I am sure it's a telemarketer though on my work cell I tell them they have called a business cell phone and to not call again and I then hang up. I then write down the number so if it calls the work phone again, I know I can safely ignore it. Grrr.
Junk texts are the other annoying thing that I sometimes get on my work phone. I delete those immediately, they take up room that I need for real messages. *Shakes head*

Getting daily calls and no voice mail messages.

No way to stop this number from coming through other than the method below. Firstly, I got the calls to my cell phone 3 times a day for 3 straight days so here is what I did because the ring was annoying.
1) Download or create a silent ringtone (ringtone with 5-10 seconds of nothing but dead recording)
http://fird.kucing-kelabu.com/2008/05/silent- ... g-callers-away/
Note: Follow the links through this blog link. It looks like an ad but you will eventually get the file you need.
2) Take the phone number that has been calling and use it to create a contact in your phone book/address book/contacts.
3) Designate their specific/custom ringtone to be the "dead air" audio file/ringtone for their number.
The phone will ring but you won't hear the ringing. Doesn't stop the call from coming through but silences your phone when they call.
Hope this helps

We told them no twice.

I got the same call as everyone else seems to be getting. They call, I don't answer, they hang up before leaving a message. You might not be able to get them to stop, but you could make them have jacked-up issues in there lives, as well. Go to the library, grocery store, or wherever you can find magazines with those subscription inserts in them. Grab a dozen or so and fill them out with the company name, or in this case, the presidents name. Let him deal with the same everyday BS that he makes us deal with. Touche'

Why aren't you people reporting them? There is no reason for you to call them up and ask to be removed if you are on the DNC registry.
In my state DoNotCall.gov complaints are not enforced by the lazy State Attorney General, but complaints to the FCC do get enforced. I have stopped several telemarketers with complaints to the FCC. The FCC will send you a letter telling you that they took enforcement action. They have an online complaint for at

Wow. I'm sure anybody as arrogant, mean-spirited, and argumentative as you made sure that you made that poor supervisor's job a living hell. Speaking of slease, you sound like you are promoting your "fabulous" Privacy manager product yourself.

I do not have any connection with the Cox company and do not want any. I've received 11 calls from this number in the past 2 weeks. I am on the DNC list and they keep calling. I answered and asked to be removed from their call list twice. The first time I asked I was told they could not do that. I then asked to speak with a supervisor who proceeded to tell me how difficult it was for the callers to make a living!!! Get a life Bozo. The second time I asked to be removed I was told it would take 30 to 60 days. I'm fed up with these people. I bought a "gadget" from Privacy Corps and it is fabulous. I can completely block these unethical, disrespectful jerks and never have to jump up to answer any telemarketer again. Oh, by the way, a woman I know who worked for this company, told me she was asked to write a positive comment on this site. These people are sleeeeeeze!!!!!
tired of them 2007-09-13 17:47:35 Unknown
Well, in my case, they've changed numbers: (402) 934-6251. And they call at the most absurd hours, never leave a message, and on two occasions, caused my digital answering machine to fill because they didn't disconnect properly.
If I'm here, I just pick it up and hang up on them... but I'm going to go block them now.

Timberline Tota - this is a telemarketer for communications company. They are in violation of law concerning "Do not call list." They can call only those that already use their company and those that have given permission for cold calling. If you are on the "do not call list", report them.
Al 2007-08-17 19:05:20 Unknown
yeah, but aren't they all separate businesses? I think the local offices all hire there own telemarketers and have there own offers. you can usueally get better offers from the telemarketers than from the local office because of the volume the telemarketers do. I used to work for one.
johal 2007-08-16 00:20:37 Unknown
This number has called my cell 35 times. I never pick up but is there any way you can stop them?
HMAN 2007-08-15 23:51:57 Telemarketer
Dont' buy services from this type of marketing. Your local cable office depends on your local business. Unfortunatly all the local Cox reps are on a monthly quota. When you have most of the business in a small town, its really hard to make those retarded quotas. I don't work for Cox, but know those who do. Be sure to tell your local office about the offer, I'm sure they will do their best to keep you happy.
