I did not get a call but i got my credit card statement that reflected the exact 11.89 charge. I did the same thing cancelled the account and they are issuing a new one. Another site mentioned that this company is tied  to Ranger Joe's! i don;t know who they are and did no business with them. But call your bank or cc immediately if you see these charges.

I go hit with a $11.89 charge to my VISA Credit Card by the fictitious CJB Concepts on 04/04/2008. Reported the fraudulent transaction to my credit card issuer (Chase), closed the CC account, and also reported the crime incident to IC3 (FBI). The phone number on the credit card statement was 402-408-4579, but I did not call them before or after seeing the CC statement. I did not have any contact or do any business with the firm. These international thieves evidently stole CC numbers and bank account data from Ranger Joe's databases; and, then created fake business names, web sites, telephone answering services, and fictitious transactions. Sure hope they are stopped, caught and brought to justice.

i too was scammed. checked my online acct the day after the hackers visited and stole 35.12 for a wgt loss system. my bank "disputed' the claim and i have been calling the co. for over a week asking for my $ be returned as it will overdraw me for the month...like they care. lots of complaints on this co as well. read one complaint where it was reported to the f.b.i., atty general, fraud dept in the gov. to no avail. their answer was they need to spend their time catching hackers that go after larger amts of $.

I was billed 11.49 by cjb concepts on 4/25/08 and did not catch it until 6/20/08. The reason I noticed it was that on 6/16/08 I was billed by Clear River LLC for 5.99 and called my credit card company about the charge, so I went back three months looking for unknown charges and noticed the CJB charge.  My card has been changed and a new one issued.  I recommend that everyone who has been charged by either of these companys have a new card issued.

My bosses card just got hacked with Globalinternet Solutions 580-759-5681 (they gave a real number), the phone message says send your message to support@gis.besethelpservice.com  I searched the web for the website and found this website that says the charge is fraud. I reported it to our credit card and cancelled the card.... Thanks...

While in vacation in Europe this CJB concept charged my card $12.79 and it is such a small amount most people will just rather not go through the frustration of resolution so they forget about the charge and pay it. So with that mentallity this guy is racking up some big bucks a few bucks at a time. My question is how did he get my credit card number. Whatever the case I will dispute the charge and hope this guy gets screwed!

Thank you MGD for the excellent research you have provided.  I filed a complaint with IC3 regarding 'CJB Concepts'. I also filed a complaint with the Nebraska state Attorney General's office, since the area code for the listed phone number was actually Omaha, NE.  Additionally, although I don't have a resume posted on any website, I received an unsolicitated 'job opportunity' which sounds exactly like what you have described in the full scam thread.  This job opportunity was sent to my work email address, so I forwarded it to my company's security division.  You have provided a valuable service to all of us on the receiving end of this fraud.

I just received an unsolicitated job application from a Mark Lohnie@interior.com that sounds exactly like the recruiting tactics used by the crime syndicate, described elsewhere in this blog.  Since the email was received at my business address, I forwarded the note to my company's Security Division and asked that it be passed to the proper authorities.

I also received my credit card statement with a charge$10.89) from CJB Concepts Texas. I had already cancelled my card because of another small fraud charge from DIGISOFT- Philadelphia Pa in the amount of $11.35.  They were both done in the same month except this one came in right as I was cancelling the card.  It helps to have this information from all affected by scams such as these.

I received a charge of $11.89 from CJB Concepts on April 15th on a card I haven't used in 4 months. The phone number is "no longer in service" and my credit card company is disputing the charge and closed that account.  Sounds like a large fraud... and I have never ordered from "Ranger Joes".

Although the statement description indicates Texas, area code 402 is actually for Omaha, NE.  This fraud is wide and deep.

I was also a victim of this scam.....a charge appeared on my bank account May 5 '08 for 11.89.

I have never shopped at Ranger Joes so I do not know where the connection originates. ( I have only made two online purchases in years......with Lulu.com...and Photo Pos Pro ( digital camera software).

Does anyone know of any other online companies who may have been hacked?

I just called Wells Fargo to report that I too have been the 'victim' of CJB Concepts for $11.89.  Of course the card has been canceled as of this morning...It is amazing to me that for all 'they' (whoever 'they' are) know about this unlawful scam, it has not been stopped...

Many of the posts I read here go back many weeks...I too had nothing to do with "Ranger Joe"...what an unfortunate scam.  Imagine how many folks they have done this too, who don't check the smaller amounts charged on their cards as we apparently do.  These thieves have probably made a fortune already....ReallyAnnoyed...

I was charged $11.89 on my visa card on 4/15/2008 by cjb concepts with a Texas telephone number. I don't remember a phone call from them.I just received my visa bill on 5/2/2008. Visa inactivated my credit card and said they would notify all the credit agencies for me. It pays to check your credit card bill at once.

Call your credit card company, dispute the charges. Let them know about the Ranger Joe hack. Change your acct. numbers on any cards you used there. It won't take long for time, the worst part is all the time listening to the dumb messages while you're waiting for a live person.
I just got my credit card bill & had a 12.79 charge that I didn't recognise, from CJB Concepts. Called my CC company to dispute the charges. They said that CJB comes up as a computer software co. I checked online & found this site, & the Ranger Joe connection. Phone number & recorded message all match. Called the CC company back, they are issuing a new acct. number. Called Ranger Joes, they discovered the security breach on 21 March, 2008. Said they emailed all customers regarding the hack. Geez, used my Discover card online with them as well! I'm going to check on that acct. now.
Often if you are a victim of fraud, you can actually freeze your credit reports.
What a damn pisser ending to an already long work day.

I just got charged $11.98 from CJB Concepts on April 25th. I have no idea what Rangers Joe is...so I've never ordered from there. Anyone know what other companies may be involved with this? Shouldn't business alert consumers if when the business systems are hacked??? My bank just gave me this number to call...
