I just called the number back and reached a voicemail. It's Brian with Farm Bureau Financial Services. I'm in the middle of changing jobs and made the mistake of posting my resume online and now I get calls from insurance companies NONSTOP! When I email them and ask if it is entirely commission-based or if a base salary is involved, they never respond. Hmmm. I wonder why that is? Can somebody tell me how it is legal to pay commission-only when there are minimum wage laws? Not that I care because I won't work in the insurance industry as far as sales, but I have wondered about that.
