Have gotten a call from this number a few times trying to get me to renew my newspaper subscription and thought nothing of it bc I used to get the paper and cancelled. When I realized the number was from NE and I live in WV I decided to google it figuring it was a scam. While I still have no idea if it was legit or not the lady I talked to the last time was extremely rude. When I said (politely) that I wasn't interested, she hung up on me! If this is a real business, they are very unprofessional! I'll be calling our local paper company tomorrow.

I get far too many callers that are relentless.  They call multiple times a day, every day, even though I never answer them.

Keep calling trying to sell the local paper, which happens to be too stupid to employ anyone capable of delivering said paper on a regular basis. That is why I canceled it the first time and why after being talked into a good deal, canceled it the second time; simply can not get the Sunday paper delivered.
Tell these idiots that and do not call anymore, and they STILL keep calling, at least once a week.  Guess I'll just wind up accepting and when bill comes, writing a nice and vulgar message about the call practices and non-stop harassment. Maybe after repeatedly accepting and never paying (since they are flat out incapable of delivering the paper past 3 times in a row), they will get the idea and stop calling me all the time.

Calls and hangs up when you answer... Bad enough when feel ok - really ticks you off when you're sick as $%^&*!!!!!!  So tired from being sick I mistook the caller ID for J&G Sales (a company I actually DO do some business with; had never called me before and thought there might be a problem) and just get hung up on.

Calls  have come in from this number before.  I have no idea who it is since I do not know anybody in Nebraska.  No message was left on voice mail.

This number has called before.  It's not one of my contacts so I don't answer and prefer to let it go to voice mail.  No message has ever been left.

the do not call list is a joke.  i have been on it since it started and signed up again last year. i still get these calls. i simply don"t answer any number that isn't on my contact list.

This number calls me all the time.  I do not answer calls if I don't know the number.  They never leave a message.

I am also on the Do Not Call list and got this one and many others.  What's up with that?

OH, I HAVE had this call before, now that you remind me about "newspaper subscriptions."  I say, answer the call, tell them, "OK, sure, begin delivering again."  They offer to "bill" you.  Accept that.  Then, DON'T PAY the bill.  By the time they realize you don't plan to pay, you've received more than a month of free newspaper deliveries.  I know it sounds deceptive, but maybe it makes sense to fight fire with fire!  Nothing else seems to work.  I've been on the "do not call list" since it started!

Received a call from this number on a Sunday afternoon. Tried to sell me the local paper. Offered me a great deal since we used to be subscribers. I declined. Asked if I was reading or had read their Sunday edition. I said no to both. I stated that I do not do business over the phone and to put the offer on paper and mail it to me. He then chuckled and said that yes, you do do business over the phone...you order pizza. I said we don't order pizza(we don't!) and that I was done dealing with a telephone sales guy, especially on Sunday. He said, "Well, we all have bills" and continued to try to convince me. So, I got real difficult and he finally just said he wasn't going to get into it any further and said have a nice day.

Why are they allowed to call a number on the do not call list?

Great deal on the local paper for three months ... When the deal was done we didnt renew now they're calling again maybe we'll get it again for a bit

They Just called, didn't answer. Called # back it has recording. They called on behalf of my local news paper.

they have called numerous times asking for my husband when I say hes not home if I could take a message they say no message and hang up.

A Pocahontas Times (WV) customer received a call from this company. No one at The Pocahontas Times authorized this company to solicit subscriptions on our behalf.

Called Like 4 times Day and night sick of it ....Im Tellin My Mommy....

When they called I asked them in Spanish where their weasels were.  (Donde estan las comadrejas?)  The guy said "Idiot" and hung up.  My wife just laughs hysterically when I do that.

Yes, I was nice to them but was very rude back.  Had to hang up on the person because he wouldn't stop.  Thankfully I was on the computer and got this post before I answered.  Thank you everyone!

The phone message said something about a survey about childhood immunizations.  They gave an 800 number to call back but I didn't write it down

I just received a call and I have NEVER subscribed to ANY newspaper.  The guy knew my name and where I live.  He tried to get me to re-subscribe and when I told him I don't read the newspaper he said "What did you let it do before?  Pile up in the yard?"  Very rude.  I informed him that I have lived here a year and have never subscribed to or received a newspaper...maybe it was the people before me.  But then I started thinking...how did he have MY name then?  My husband wants me to call our local paper tomorrow to inquire about it.  I think I will!

Got a call last night - he only identified himself as "Bill" from the Tribune to get us back as a subscriber (we are in Ohio)  . . after telling him "no" and him trying 3 different "deals", he hung up on us . . . I've reported to our newspaper that they should get a better telemarketing company as this company is only going to give people bad feelings about the paper.
