I answered. A woman with possibly the most annoying voice in the world wanted me to participate in a survey about grocery stores. When asked, she assured me that the survey would take about 8 minutes. I felt kindly and agreed. Her first question: Are you over 18 and the person who does most of the grocery shopping for your household? I said no, my husband does our grocery shopping. She was so obviously SHOCKED at the concept that a MAN could buy groceries and the WOMAN did not, that I became abruptly unkindly. I mocked her for sounding so surprised that I've trained my husband to do most of our marketing and bailed on her survey. I was happy for the excuse to blow her off because her voice was actually getting more annoying with each word she uttered (all of them passed through her nose). I'm cranky today.

Call received on 6/7/14.  Caller ID:  Convergsys.   My Sentry Call Blocker device intercepted the call and automatically blocked
it.    The Sentry call blocker will block up to 9,999 numbers, and will automatically block all "robocalls".  

Another round from Convergsys. THE DO NOT CALL LIST DOES NOT MATTER. Obviously the government does not give 2 cents who call who, or they would yank this number after the numerous complaints and reports on this number.

Received a call from this number. Caller said he was conducting a survey on behalf of a Bank ref  a call made by me to the bank. I did not feel comfortable so I started questioning him. I guess he thought I was going to be a difficult respondent. He thanked me and hung up. I am on DO NOT CALL.

They called my number last night and left no message..however I have NEVER been a member with CIGNA or had any insurance with them,

I got this phone callings twice without leaving message.

Why would you get offended?  Are you that easy to offend?  I feel sorry for you if that offends you.. Try making a video about a controversial topic and see how many offensive comments you get.. And they don't need to use the caps lock to do it!

I think my father might use caps lock sometimes.. He is older guy and not from this generation of computer savvy users..  So, you will get offended and older innocent people?  Give me a break.  Grandma and Grandpa are irritating you..  How retarded does that sound to you?

One issue you need to pay attention to reference the Do Not Call list... IF you have done business with this - or any - company (not necessarily under this name) or one of its business partners, YOU have given it permission to contact you - particularly if you have filled out a form (i.e., ordering something online, through the mail, or in person).  That is one of the little 'quirks' in the law.  Choosing to buy or order or use a service gives implicit permission for contact. Does not matter whether your number is a landline or a cell --- if you provided it on a form, you gave permission.

Unwanted call 5/9/14 at 4:47 p.m. from Convergys Corp.

Looked at caller ID and saw it was from Omaha Nebraska - seeing as I don't know anybody there I normally don't pick up numbers I don't know, but I did just in case a Warren Buffet  was looking to give out some of his money and said if this isn't Warren Buffet please hang up - they did- I don't think they'll call back.

I used to get annoyed at these unsolicited/telemarketing/debtors calling my phone all the time. The Do Not Call register is a waste of time and effort, because there are too many loop-holes.

Since I purchased a DECT6 phone, my life has been easier. The 800 number calls me, I look on this site for details. If it is a nuisance call, I just save it into the "blocked Calls" directory o n my phone. The next time they call, they get the busy signal. Eventually, they give up, or try from another number. I have a 30 number capacity in my phone, and at the end of the month, I scroll back through the blocked callers, and record the numbers in a database on my computer. I scroll through the blocked numbers stored in my phone, and delete the ones that haven't called in the last 30 days.

Simple as that!

This number has called before so last time I used the call block feature on my Panasonic phone.  This number
called tonight twice, ten minutes apart.  The phone rings once & my caller ID says "call blocked".  I love it.

Bravo sir, on your last paragraph; a fantastic description of the purpose of the DNC!! I have never heard it put better!
I too have found the complaints to the DNC are useless, however I have been keeping a list of telemarketer numbers since last fall(since I have to empty my phones block list almost every month as the same numbers keep calling under different false names). Is it your carrier or your phone that has the particular blocking ability? Thanks again!

Wednesday, April 16, 8:44 PM...no message.

This number just called me I didn't
answer 409-491-2800 and whoever
it was never left a message.

I called the number and it's a recording saying they are converges cust intelligence service which is calling to invite you to join a marketing group to give opinions on items we use daily  yada yada. I just blocked the number

402 is NOT from CA it IS out of NE.

I get a call from this number every evening like clock work.  I'm on the do not call list and I will not answer this number.  My phone shows call coming from Omaha, NE

Funny how every time this year when I'm waiting for a call back from anthem blue cross, I get a call from 402-491-2800. Rings three times and hangs up. PRICKS However I did change my at&t plan in Jan 2014.

Went to answering machine.  Just kept beeping so they are now blocked.
