When calling it back, it says it's a call from your local cable company and to please leave your name and number and they will take you off the list.  Yeah right!

these people just call and call and call, whoever they are they don't give up. they don't leave a message and I am never here to catch it

Rings twice and then hangs up.  We don't know anyone with Profile One name.

Just got a call from them today but missed it... glad i saw these responses - i tried to call back but no answer

they call my house at LEAST 7 times a day, they have called up to 22 times in a day once. i agree, it gets annoying, i never call it back, and never answer it. yet no message is left!! VERY ANNOYING!

don't know who/what profile one is but we just got another call from them.  can't someone do something about this?  they don't leave a message just waste my phone time!

Always call at meal time this last call my wife got it before the answer machine picked.  No one was there.  We get about 3-5 a day and at least one during the night.  My wife called that number and it rang and rang.  I am tired of getting disturbed during my meal time.  There is never a message left on our answering machine.  Are you sure it was traced to Cox?

This number does call all of the time and I have yet to answer. I have not called back but continue to receive calls.

What stimulates these calls? Is there any common ground that has led this number to get ours and harass us day in day out?

This is obviously some one that doesn?t mind bothering you. So I say get some revenge and cause them some pain. I just called and got there answering service and was able to leave a lengthy message. I went to you tube and found a song that I liked and let that be my message to them. If every one call them back and leave a long message be it a TV program or music we could possibly fill their answering system with garbage.

i hope people dont call back because this company stole my home phone number to use for the caller ids.  this is a private phone number not a business

I live in Las Vegas and this number is in my area code (702) 487-4226 keeps calling my cell phone once or twice everyday. They never leave a message. When I looked it up it says registered to something called Cox Telecom Inc. At first it seems like they are some kind of phone carrier, however, I do not think it has anything to do with Cox Cable. Cox Businesses are listed as LLC, and these people are Inc.

I too keep getting calls from this number.  I never pick up the phone when I don't know who it is on the line.  No messge is eer left on my voice mail.  Getting kind of tired of it.

Received a call this evening at 6:25pm CST and caller ID showed up as Profile One, 402-505-4144.  Left no message on the answering machine.  The policy in this house is - if you don't recognize the name and/or number of the caller we do not answer the phone.  We write down the information and then go to this web site and check it out.  Something else we do - just for the heck of it - after a while if these type of calls continue and someone starts to leave a message (not a recorded message)- we keep a whistle by the phone and give there ear a blast.  A lot of times we do not hear from them again.

"Profile One" is a sales & telemarketing call center co. that calls incessantly from an auto-dialer out of Omaha, Nebraska. I've called their # back anonymously (using CID block & my free LD plan). When I call them I get a 3-beep fax-tone. They are regularly violating the DNC list. You can ignore these pests.

We keep getting this call and its waking my kids.
We get them and no one says anything. It either is silence or hangs up when I answer.
IM getting them a couple of times a day for over a month. They skip a few days and it starts again. Never any contact.
It comes up as profile one on the caller I.D. 402-505-4144

This number called my number 3 times between 6:30pm-8:50pm. Caller ID shows Profile One. Profile my butt! I would like to get the profile on them and sue. I am on National do not call list! I am not calling the number back because I am sure it is a scam. If it is not some scam artist in the USA bugging us then it is those folks from India who do not understand a word we say as well as us not understanding them. Where is the government when we need them? These 800 #'s are driving me nuts!!

They call many times a day, every day including sundays. I tried to call back and I get the busy signal. I have a baby with a disability and is annoying every time this people trying to call because they wake up the baby, there is no way to turn off the volume because I need to be in contact with the hospital and doctors.

I did not pay attention before but after several weeks it has become annoying.
What can we do with this type of calls?

They call several times a day, day and night but leave no message.  We have caller ID so we do not answer these calls.  I wish they would stop calling.

This number calls everyday. They have never left a message, but tonight it sounded like the caller was trying to pick up a prostitute and the phone was sitting on the table or something beside him. Apparently this has something to do with cable (as far as I can tell from everyone else's posts) but I don't even have cable. Does anyone know a way to block calls from coming in? Perhaps I need to call my phone company and see about doing that.

I have been receiving calls from this number since getting a new phone number from Sage Telecom. Anyone else using Sage Telecom getting these calls ?
Caller ID says Profile One. I have not been answering the calls but they do not leave a message.

Have been receiving calls at least 3+ times per day for the past week. Very annoying. Very glad to find this message board--at least I know it's not just local--or directed to our family. I am located in Kansas. I registered for the Do Not Call list over 3 years ago--apparently that hasn't helped. Thanks to those individuals who tracked down the owner of the number and the details.

Have been calling for weeks 1 - 2 times a day. They keep asking for my husband but haven't figured out that the answering machine has picked up and they are talking to it.  There is the hint of a middle eastern accent.
I will not answer when I see the number on the caller ID.  I wish they would stop.  I think I remember them calling last year in the spring.
