Just multiple hang ups and calls. Never leaves a message and if it is a car warranty - we don't have a car. I wish some legal option were open.

Vehicle warranty offer or scam - also got a similar call from a TX number a few weeks ago. I have a Chevy - anyone else have a Chevy? Just wondering where these jerks are getting my number from.

402-564-9379 Scammer!!
No msg left on my cell, comes up as Nebraska and I'm in CA. Like all the other postings here don't call this number back.
Nanny 2011-06-06 20:47:13 Unknown
They called on my cell. It was a recording that said it was for my vehicle warranty - which is balony. It's a scammer.
Ray 2011-06-06 20:47:13 Unknown
This guy has called me 11 times from the 402 number re: vehicle warranty. I have my number listed on the Do-Not-Call Registry.

This y0-yo calls all the time and we do the "un"list thing many times to no avail. Why can't these calls be blocked?
April C. 2011-06-06 20:47:13 Unknown
This thing keeps calling even though we have hit the "un"list many times. Why can't we block these calls?
me2 2011-06-06 20:47:13 Unknown
They called my work cell number.
What's REALLY interesting is that 90 minutes after this call, I got a SIMILAR call from "540-350-4194" which is ALSO a car warranty scam. Clearly these two systems are working together as a team today.
Bubbles 2011-06-06 20:47:13 Unknown
How come the regulators aren't getting these calls. If I worked for a do-not call list and someone spammed me on my cell, I would hunt them down and force them to eat brussle sprouts and lima beans until they puked. Then I would kick them in the groin.

They call me all the time and never leave a message. It's been going on for at least 6 months. One time, I called back and the guy said I had the wrong number. What's the deal?
E 2011-06-06 20:47:13 Unknown

I have been getting calls WAY TOO OFTEN, from this number and from one, which I forget at the moment, but it was registered to a Fabiola Ramirez in Fort Worth, TX. It's on my cell phone and home phone. I filed with the FCC on the other one, and got a nice letter from them apologizing for the fact that they don't plan to do anything about it.
So, I decided to take matters into my own hands. Hope this will make someone laugh. This time they called, I patiently waited about 3 minutes for someone to come on the line. When this jovial guy does, I reply (waaay entusiastically, happily) "HEY! How are you? Awesome!". Then, I tell him I'm so glad I had to wait a couple minutes to talk to him. In that time, I had this number traced. Soon I will know exactly where they're located and, once I find that out, I am going to go there and kill him. That's right, I tolld him, I am a murderous evil person who will now make it my life's mission to bludgeon him, etc. etc., make him die.
I don't think he meant it when he said "Thanks a lot"...but I know that I might have gotten through to him, and that's enougj for me.
In ending the conversation, I told him to go out and get a real job before it's to late, because the job he currently has causes people nothing but heartache and is likely to catch up to him sooner rather than later.
I know this sounds extreme, but it made me feel good.

I have gotten this call on and off for about a year now on my cell phone and home phone. The first few times I got the call on my cell I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the phone number. They of course didn't leave a message. Then I answered and got the recorded message. Finally I decided to "speak with a representative". When the rep answered they immediately ask for the make, model, and VIN of the car. YEAH RIGHT like I am giving that info out to anyone who calls me. So I said to the guy, "Oh I have two cars that the warranties have expired on, which one are you calling about?" And the guy hung up on me!!! Right then I knew it was a scam of some sort. Thankfully after that phone call I did not receive one again for a few months. Then I got one on my home phone and talked to a rep again and they hung up on me as well. So I finally got another call today at home and when I talked to the rep, she was very polite. I told her that I had already asked to be taken off the phone list, so could she please do so. She was very apologetic and said she would do that for me. We'll see...

I have learned not to answer any calls from numbers I do not know (although it is an inconvenience to clients who call me on business). But since I just got a new number, I've been getting a lot of unknown numbers calling me. I figure the best way to stop this is to answer and tell them they have a wrong number. I answered a recent call from this particular number and it was a recording saying my vehicle warranty is expiring. What B.S.! I have since put my new number on the National Do Not Call Registry and will report any future calls from this and other companies.

I got a call from this number at 6:00pm tonight but did not pick up. So, I waited until I find someone logs this number here and voila! as expected it's like all the other calls I received from numerous unknown numbers, they're all offering warranty for our vehicle.
