A class action lawsuit has been filed against Omaha Steaks in federal court for violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by making unsolicited and otherwise illegal telemarketing calls.  It is Heatherington v. I wonder why a company with such reputable products stoops to a new low in the world of telemarketing by annoying customers with unasked for calls.  I just received one myself and now I have this bad taste in my mouth resulting from Omaha Steaks' breech of trust with the information I provided when I placed my order.  I didn't get to take the call as the nomorobo automatically blocked it, but from all the complaints on this thread, I have to assume it was Omaha Steaks.  Thank God all businesses don't adhere to this type of practice, for if they did, we'd never be able to place an outgoing call!

I ordered by phone from Omaha Steaks and asked NOT to receive any telemarketing calls. Yet they have called me twice a day for over 2 weeks now from  402 593 7107. When I answer they hang up. This is really aggressive and nasty of them considering I specifically asked for no calls. I just reported them to BBB! And I created an account and asked for no calls or emails from them. I won't be ordering from them again.

These people/number are driving me crazy - EVERYDAY - about the same time - enough already

They will not stop calling and im on the do not call list

Ordered some items for Christmas presents, and the calls now come 3 or 4 times per day.  I went to their web page and looked for their email address for Customer Service.  Within 5 minutes I received a response indicating they were removing my number from their database.  I don't mind mailers or even emails, but my home is for peace and quiet. We'll see if this works.

IF YOU CALL OHAMA STEAKS DO NOT HIT REDIAL ON YOUR PHONE CUZ YOU'LL GET ME AND I'M SICK OF GETTING OMAHA STEAKS CALLS.  THEY REFUSE TO WORK WITH ME OR CHANGE THEIR CALL BACK NUMBER.  I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH THIS SINCE 2009!!!

Looks like Omaha Stakes: I have ordered from them many times with many disappointments in the products, I can say that the only thing somewhat worth the money is the hot dogs.

I canceled my acct at Omaha Steaks - thinking it was them - and from what I've read, it probably is.
Hoped it would Stop the calls.  Didn't  Did not make a list of other dates but for the last 2 days I've been called.
I just don't answer.

I am in Afghanistan and still getting calls.
Ordered once for my brother in laws birthday. Apparently the food was good but hey... If I wanted more, I would call and order! lol

Oh yeah call me everyday while I'm at work! I used a gift card 5 years ago. I should have given them some other jerks number.

This is a very poor business practice. They cold easily send an email and offer what you say they offer. Not to many people I know want to be bothered with annoying phone calls. This company does not even leave a message. Sounds fishy to me. I deleted my account because of calls from them.

Just looked up the number should of done this months ago. I can't believe they have got a way with this for so long. I just got a call at 8:45 est. I ordered once for fathers day. I intend to call the BBB. I also have called them to take me off their mailing list. didn't call that number though.

So glad I found this site so I know it was Omaha Steaks. Calls from strange numbers freak me out.

Ok, I just to Omaha Steaks website, trying logging in - said unknown ID -  I guess so, since I've not order for over a year  (the emails still tempted me though)

If I had been able to log in = I was going to see if I could click somewhere - for No calls - if not, I was going to Unsubscribe emails anyway.  -  Actually I unsubscribed from emails from  their recent email sent to me.

So now, if I keep getting phone calls - I'll let you know.

if you don't like calls - just don't answer.  
Personally, I never answer any calls with area codes that I don't have in my contacts.

You can always Delete your name from their contact list.  Just go to their website.

If I can't get them to stop calling,  I'll just continue to not answer. Same with emails - actually I enjoy emails so I can see the sales.

Omaha Steaks. When will they understand that this aggressive marketing is actually hurting their business. I won't be ordering from them anymore because they keep calling me even after I removed them from the e-mail list and stated NOT to call me.

I have never ever even heard of Omaha Steaks. They called incessantly looking for some "mrs. Calvert" or something. I told them they had the wrong number, the guy apologized and yet I still get calls 3 or 4 times every month. I plan on calling them this afternoon and making sure they know I am NOT mrs. Calvert and to never call again.

It took me MONTHS to get them to stop calling me. I ordered twice, years ago, and received unwanted calls about 9 months after my orders, and those calls lasted almost another year.

Your ideas were the same as I had; eventually it seemed to work.
