They called this morning, ask to verify the business and the address. The caller stated that they are call from chamber of commerce usa. Once she told me that I knew something is odd, when I ask the location of the  chamber of commerce usa.  She hung up the phone

I actually work for this company and we are simply verifying the information to sell to the American Chamber of Commerce so they can update your current business information for their business contact section.  No bombs or anything is going to happen to you we just have to make thousands of calls a day to millions of businesses across the country and do not have the time to explain all of this

I received a call today and when I started asking questions and corrected her that the chamber of commerce is a non-profit she hung up on me.

UPDATE: The phones are registered with FreedomVoice. I contacted them, and they confirmed that they are the provider of that phone number, but would not tell me anything about the owner of the account. I also contacted the US Chamber of Commerce (The American Chamber Of Commerce is a non-profit) and told them that their name is being used in this scam. So here is the legwork! They called me this morning and hung up on me. After calling back - I got the voicemail - same as everyone else. SO I started investigating. First - this company calling IS calling themselves Research USA. They also claim that they are in Nebraska with offices all around the nation. This company is owned by the same gentleman that owns DatabaseUSA. I spoke with Jason - VP of sales at DatabaseUSA - and he confirmed everything. He gave me the phone number for a gentleman at Research USA - his number is 402-509-9286 - he answers his phone or calls you back on Skype or Google+. This gentleman refused to give me ANY information. No company address, no phone number, no Federal Tax ID, no office address, nothing. I have now begun the process of tracing the call to see where it originated from. Once I find this, I'm driving there myself.....

I work for DatabaseUSA and the person who posted this said that "I hung up on her" , this is untrue! I gave her the information she asked for and I certainly didn't ask her to post my name on this site.

I'm very suspicious about these calls after looking in reading these posts I have blocked this number as I think this is more scams trying to divulgence steal personal information I'm just blocked his number

Got a call from the above number.  They asked if this was A company with the correct name as it were.  Then they said they are from Nebraska Chamber of Commerce?  What would we do wiith that and started asking questions to which I replied as to why they were asking all these questions and they hung up.

We've been getting these, also. The woman I talked to today didn't even identify herself or the company she worked for. Simply launched into a question about whether we were still at the same address and if the manager was still the same. Very suspicious. She asked me for my name and I gave it to her, and she just hung up.

These people need to be thrown in jail, F*** them.  F*** them.

they called asking for information. I would not give it. and I asked who was calling.  they said chamber of commerce. LOL with a 402 number i hung up. I get a lot of telemarkerters and usually hang up.

Received a call today and a female asked if she had reached MRM Enterprises (a business name I use to have) so I reluctantly said yes, then she asked to confirm my address.  I asked her why she needed this info and she said it was for the Chamber of Commerce.  I asked which one and she got huffy and said the American Chamber of Commerce, then asked again to confirm my address so she could update her records.  I kept asking questions, she kept getting more frustrated.  Finally I asked what her companies website was and she said databaseusa.com was the address.  Then she said someone may call me back and hung up.  I looked up databaseusa.com and saw that it is a mailing list company.

Received several calls from this number this morning.  Caller ID shows "Bellevue, NE".  No message left.

When they called my place of work in Menomonie Wisconsin the guy said he was with the chamber of commerce. When I asked what Chamber of Commerce he said the American Chamber of Commerce...  What an idiot.

She called to ask about my business address, she said to update my information with the Champer Of Commerce,

Received call today at work number. said they were the american chamber of commerce and called to confirm how many employees, is adddress correct then we hung up not wanting to give out any more information.

Very annoying static. I wonder if the act of picking up the call is feeding them information.??... repeat caller

Got a call yesterday from 402-609- 7555 asking for my company name & mentioned our current address upon giving it to them they hung up. Strange feeling got to me & started getting nervous. I called back & got the answering machine. I'm really nervous now & felt defeated. Just waiting for a bomb to come in to my mail box now or maybe a drive by shooting thru my front door. Gov. or hackers I don't know.

I get a call from this number, at the business I own, at least twice a week.  They never say anything when I pick-up.  When I call back It's a generic Voicemail saying to leave a message with my name and number.  DO NOT LEAVE THE MESSAGE !   They want you to record your number on their line!  This is how phone scams start!  

No one on the other line.

GET CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER, DON'T ANSWER ANY CALLS OUT OF AREA CODE OR FROM UNKNOWN CALLER. I  DIDN'T ANSWER AND THERE WAS NO MESSAGE LEFT. VERY ANNOYING

I've been receiving frequent calls from this number for several days and finally decided to answer.  Same story...the caller immediately starts asking me questions about my business.  I answered one or two questions, then when I asked the caller who he was working for and what the purpose of the call was, he hung up.  

Who are these childish pricks, and how can they be eliminated from the planet?

Called on 02/25/2014 @ 10:49 AM from Omaha, NE. Caller ID shows shows Bellevue, NE. No message was left.
I don't care if this is Info USA, Database USA, Research USA or any other data mining company. Don't bother calling because I'm not answering.

 I just had several calls in a row from this number.  The first few times there was no one there.  The last time a woman came on asking for the previous users of the number.  When I informed her that it was no longer a business number and hadn't been for months she then suppposedly removed me from the call list.  We'll see how long before the next call.  *sigh*  I'm not going to hold my breath that they will stop calling me.  None of them ever do.
