Yea, these guys are a charitable organization. Feature Films for Families has teamed up with the Fraternal Order to lower fundraising costs. Those mailers cost so much money it just is not worth it so the FOP has found they can raise more money through using telemarketing; either way the people who print or the people who call get paid. It's good to be careful, but calm down and think about it. This is a great cause and the FOP is getting more money than from the waste in canvassing with mailers or sending people junk mail. They are saving trees and taking care of families of fallen officers.

Dont give a penny to these people, save your money of better yet donate it to your local department by going in and saying, I want to give this to you. They will politly tell you your options on what fundraisers they have coming up local and you can pick one or two or whatever. Take it to the department they ou get 100 out of 100 dollars for charity. Pay these people calling you and they get 10 if they are lucky and you are paying for them to call you back on another deal too. So you get to pay for your own torment. Help us get rid of the people. We want to find them all jobs at McDonalds. \Some might not qulify but hey, we do what we can do, right? LOL

You can run but you cant hide, we are as of now, every where you are and we see these complaints within minutes of when you make a fraudulent call. I told you, we are better then all of you put together.


These people are going to wake up in a few weeks and there is going to be nothing left of their jobs, their bosses, their offices, it will all be gone and it will never come back. It always amazes me that when we go after one of these groups that no matter how bleak the future looks for this industry, they just keep right on chugging along. That was before we got here and now it is game over. We are not like the government, we know what you are doing, and how you are doing it. You might escape their hunting and pecking style of investigation, but that is not how we operate. This phone number is calling to do fund raising for the Nebraska State Fraternal Order of Police. I have called the number.  It directs you to a customer service department that can answer questions, help you donate, or anything else related to the FOP. Also, there?s information on www.nebraskafop.org, you can contact them there with any questions or requests.
The FOP is doing a lot of really great things for Nebraska police officers and the people that call are trying to help them raise money so they can do even more good.

I have received numerous calls from this organization.I never answer the phone when I don't know who is calling.Thats why I have caller ID so I know who is on the other end of the phone.

FFFF (Feature Films for Families) employs at a decent living wage for young people in my particular area (start at 8.00 and up to 9.00 in 3 months, up to 12 in a year). My daughter works there. She can hear the people that answer the phone, but can't talk to them. She touches a touchscreen to enable pre-recorded responses to the person's responses.

Yes, there is a high percentage of each dollar raised that is spent on wages and expenses. About 70%. So .30 on the dollar is donated to the FOP. The FOP did not contract them for this. They simply picked a charity and that's where they give the "profits", so they operate as a non-profit company.

Here's my take, and yes, maybe I'm biased since I have a daughter who works there and is saving money for college. She's 18 and graduated and working there full-time. Others who work there, many in fact, are single mothers, or supporters of young families, etc.

K- back to my take on it.

UNEMPLOYMENT IS EXTREMELY HIGH in this country. Jobs here in my town are practically non-existed. MANY if not all of the young women, single mothers in particular, who work this job would not have a job. The single mothers would be on welfare, food stamps and medicaid (this company offers FULL benefits to their employees) if they did not have this job.

You don't have to donate to the company's cause. You don't have to take the call. But if they weren't employing these people, YOUR tax dollars would be buying them food, diapers, or maybe even drugs or alcohol. YOUR tax dollars would be supporting their health care, rather than them having insurance and supporting themselves.

Now, I am not crazy about their call tactics. I used to work there when they sold "family friendly" movies and quit when I realized they would sell their own mother for 12.95 plus shipping.

But at least the folks working the pre-recorded messages on the computers aren't a blight on the economy.

My nephew is a Police Officer and He says it is a scam, they never see any of the money.

Then take "NO" for an answer and stop calling when requested!

Tey have called several times and I have politely (at first) told them I am not interested in donating and requested that my number be removed from their list.  They keep calling about once or twice a week.

They call my house CONSTANTLY.... I don't want to donate.

So I got a call from this group.  Totally different exp than some of you.  he was very nice.  I asked to be taken off the list (cuz i HATE telemarketers) and he said he would.  Haven't had a call since.

Telemarketers collecting on behalf of legitimate charities KEEP 85% - 90% of all donations they generate. So if the FOP is claiming these telemarketers have raised $75,000 a year - that is only 10-15% of all donations received!  

I SAY RIPOFF!  

If you wish to donate to the Fraternal Order of Police - donate directly to them - NOT SOME TELEMARKETER!

I'm really glad I found this site cause this all started FOP 691-6201. I felt I was the only person receiving these calls. I'm sorry you all had to receive them as well. Really amazes me when push come to shove how we all react to this and then finish it off by doing something. It says a lot about ourselves that we'll stand up to our rights. I never took this lightly as many calls as I receive. How I wanted the guy's # and call him up at wee hours of the morning as he did me. Even had to get CallerID but I'm glad I did, it helps a lot.
I don't say a whole for DO NOT CALL REGISTRY I believe it's a big joke. But I'm glad I stood up for my principals and I stood for what I believe is wrong. I only wish a law could be passed and stop them from doing this from all of us. To me, this is the real crime. Allowing them in where they're not wanting. Just begging for money and myself at the other saying No, I don't donate over the phone to you, anyone or anything. Pat yourself on the pat for standing up and fighting back.

I'm getting several calls per week to my cell phone from these guys.  Sometimes they hang up right away.  I've asked to be removed.  I submitted a complaint to the FTC.  Doesn't matter that they are a charity - they are still breaking the law.  Call the president of the FOP to complain

After reading the several complaints about the FOP's solicitation methods, I feel the need to add to those complaints.  The are essentially the same as what I have just read.  Complaining apparently has no effect.  I too am called early in the a.m. and sometimes several times during the day...lately the calls have been occurring day after day after day.  They are most disconcerting and annoying.  How do we stop this.

Lately I have ignored the calls and deleted them from my Caller ID or sometimes just lift the receiver and put it down again.  That does not solve the inconvenience of having to check the ID.  There must be a way GET THIS TAKEN CARE OF.
