I answered and no-one was on the line.. Debt solutions center was the recording when i called back... un-solicited calls annoy me.....

I just got a call from this number. I didnt answer. I just got my cell phone today so i dont know were they got my number.

Got a call from this number last night. Prior to that I had five new messages and then after I missed the call, I went to check messages and it said no new messages, but my new messages had been saved

Got same call. Sounds like the scam that has been happening since.... I can't remember how many years. They call you, ask you to press a number and they connect to your phone and make long distance calls with it and you end up with a huge phone bill with international calls.

Tried calling me in the 626 area code. Googled and came up here. Yeah, most likely a scam.

Forgot to mention I rec'd the call in 503 area code around 3:50 PM PST

thanks for the heads up, I didn't recognize the number either. I'm tired of getting telemarketer calls on my cell.

I just recieved a call from the same number on my cell. All I heard was a spanish woman that didn't answer me when I said hello. I hung up, this was just a few minutes ago. Haven't heard from her again, not yet anyway. This is the 928 area code.

He was being funny.  The Nigerian scam part is the punchline.

Just got a call from these guys. The guy said I won some money, so I gave him my SSN (for ID verification purposes) and my bank account info so he could send me the funds.  Does anyone know how long it might take for me to get the money?  I'm kind of broke since I got wrapped up with some Nigerians (long story.)

I hate these people.  My area code is 347 and they called at 11 a.m.

Received a call from 402-858-5653, and when I answered, no one was there. I called it back as it said Nebraska above # on my cell phone. Said something about a travel agency and I hung up...Probably will get charged for it, as it was set up to cost you money if you answered...Joe

Just received a call from this number on my cell phone. I never answer or return calls to unknown numbers. Looked up the prefix on thedirectory.com and it is listed as a Lincoln, Nebraska number. Thanks 800notes, for this service.

call 10/24/07 at 11:17am.. It was in Spanish, so I pressed 1 to claim my prize or whatever.  It rang once and hung up.

I waited a few minutes and called the # back.  I heard some old hag lady on the phone who was talking to some one.  This lasted about a minute.

On subsequent tries, I got the recording from the guy in English about removing your # from their database.

I just got the same thing, 617 area code, funny thing is that I am on the Do_Not_Call registry....and if it is a recording by telemarketer there company is at risk for some hefty fines. I suggest ever one signs up to avoid telemarketers www.donotcall.gov. You can also report violations at the site.

I ignored it fortunately.  There has got to be something we can do to get rid of these people and their scams.

Received a call from this number on Oct. 18, 2007 @ 2:42 p.m. in 415 area code. I answered and the caller hung up.

Thanks for the posts. I'm not calling it back.  This number called me at 5:15 PM Pacific.  My number is a 916 area code... putting that here so that others can reference if it's dialing sequentially.

My guess is that it's trying to verify numbers...if you call back...they know it's a valid name/number.
