I got a text with this message " I'm okay with the price and condition, I am ready to buy it now as a gift for my Son, I am at sea at the moment as i am a marine engineer and due to the nature of my Job,so l won't be able to come and check it?if u can send the recent pic to my email address richarddavid005@gmail.com" . The phone number was 678-601-7818

I just received the same message about my car from number 631-904-9674 and said the same thing, im ok with the price and am buying for my son, im a marine engineer and am out at sea so please send me a picture to richarddavid005@gmail.com

  Never use a test question as an additional security measure to protect your transaction.
  Never provide your banking information to people or businesses you don't know.
  Never send money in advance to obtain a loan or credit card.
  Never send money for an emergency situation without verifying that it's a real emergency.
  Never send funds from a check in your account until it officially clears, which can take weeks.
  Never send a money transfer for online purchases.

i received the same texts, word for word, but from 2 different phone numbers (774-277-9492, 781-269-2784). my transaction for selling my vehicle has gone as far as "i have deposited the money into your paypal, here's a confirmation email" which is basically asking me to send $1000 via Western Union to a third party, because the guy is "using a shipping service" and needs the money FIRST to get the guy to come pick up the car.

I'm selling my truck, same number and same reason this is the message and fron 2 different telephone numbers, (402) 882-2186 and 870-3913.
Total scam, also happend when I was selling my cell phone one time, I attached the message.

Text many times wanting to buy my car. Said he was at sea and wanted to buy for his son for christmas. SCAM

He's tried twice to buy my car from me. Fairly positive it's a scam.
