"Med Alert" on caller ID. No message left on answering machine.

We are on the do-not-call list, but  today  (/27/2013) at 1:09 PST we got a robocall from 402-909-5693.  They  claim to be "in the neighborhood" and wanted us to press 9 for deletion from their list or 1 to "hear more."  Since previous requests to be deleted have not been effective, I pressed 1 and told the answering person that I was going to report them.

CPN MED ALERT

Recorded call with cut through to agent after called party button press.  Recording indicated and offer of free security system after placement of a sign on your lawn.

Recording phase is just there to detect if a human has been reached or not.

When the agent "Camilia" cam online she identified the company as "Protection Services"   Asked for the supervisor and was immediately disconnected by the agent.

Just another telemarketing scam.  Asking for DNC status because companies like this already ignore the nation DNC list.  Proven since my number has been on the list for over five years and has been renewed every year.

How do we stop these calls?

Does it protect against asteroid strikes and alien attack.  How about evil clowns.  Press 2 to be placed on DNC my a** i am already on it.

When you do be sure to state that they attempted to sell you a medical emergency monitoring service with the lure of "free" equipment. An attempt to sell you something has to take place for a violation to have occurred.

Caller ID stated "Med Alert".  Scam to sell security systems.  Should be reported to the DNC list as a complaint...and I will be doing just that!

After reading the reports then proceed to block this number.
Still they used to call  from different number and different cities for this type of sell.
You can not block them all,just ignore and do not answer.

Same old scammers that have been plaguing me for years, now with a new number.  I never answer, and yet they persist.  Blocked AGAIN and reported AGAIN.

Same as above about the security system - called the # back and pushed 2 to indicate I'm not a home-owner & their automated system indicated I wasn't eligible so hopefully that will take care of that particular scam

Caller ID showed "Med Alert".  Recorded message was able how I could get a free security system if I let them place a sign in my yard saying the home was protected with their system.

They just called............they are now on my call blocking list!  Said they were Medic Alert!  No thanks!

Next time they call set up an appointment but just give the street address of the apartment.  Be downstairs with a camera to catch the expression on their face when they show up to do the install.

6/24/12 yet another telemarketing outfit happily violating the governent's do not call lists. Message "FBI reports. There was a home break in every 15 seconds your local police recommend you protect your home. If you are allow us to place a small sign in your yard. We will install a new security system at absolutely no cost to you whatsoever. There is no cost for the system or the installation whatsoever to hear more press one now to be placed on our do not call list, press 9."

Received another call about qualifying for "home security".  I live in a hi-rise apt. bldg.  No front lawn and good lobby security u a**holes.  What really says they're scammers to me is when I did call back there was no option even to be removed from their call list.  As if that wd. do any good anyway.  Where's the FCC and FTC in all of this?  The "Do Not Call" list worked great for a long while but now it's totally ineffective.

Caller ID read "Med Alert".  Last week received identical call (these are recorded messages) from an unidentified caller from a different number: 307-316-7522.  Pressed 9, but obviously it did not work.
