Charge to my Wells Fargo Visa Account.  I called this phone #on the bill, and got a recording that I couldn't leave a message before the call was disconnected.  I didn't recognize a PayPal payment and questioned it.  Wells Fargo closed the account.

Have the same # appear on my AMEX card for a charge I do not recognize - PP*CONNECTICUT military civil.. Called AMEX to report it immediately.

Why are you depending on PayPal to protect you, if that was not a real PayPal transaction?
Instead, contact your card issuer, and dispute the charge!

If it WAS a real PayPal transaction, and if you did not receive the item, file an Item Not Received case with PayPal!

Bottom line:
PayPal was not scammed, you were.  Therefore YOU must take action!

A company that reports this number as theirs (as shown on my credit card statement) fraudulently charged $1,743 against my American Express card. Statement says Cosmetic and Beauty Company DOING BUSINESS AS PAYPAL. They say they are located in San Jose, CA, but the area code is wrong. Paypal should easily be able to link this as a scam. They apparently don't want to put out the effort. Paypal is the common thread in all these listed scams and have to know it's bogus.

Bull s***!!! Paypal said a guest acct was set up using my card #.

I just got hit for $650 today from this same number.  Came across my account as a company called Fortuneover based in Chicago with a Nebraska number. Just hung up with my bank and they told me to shut down my card immediately and they will issue a temporary credit in the fraud amount until they can get to the bottom of this.  The people who do these things should die a slow painful death.

jammer I don't believe your reply you are probably the person that stole the money I find it hard to believe that I have found over 100 post where they have rip people off and you are the only person that said it was LEGAL so maybe you are the person or persons in on this SCAM deal Kinda make me wonder and I am sure a few others do to.  Call None of the phone numbers a good numbers and they have way over a 100 SO go figure.

I thought I also had been scammed, but in reality it was a legal VISA charge that was forwarded to the persons PAYPAL account.  The persons account and the state of the transaction was correct, but the telephone number was not correct, even though the person had lived in Omaha, NE.   P.S.  the person is a minister's wife.  Check carefully.

I got a Fraudulent charge to VISA associated to this phone number and listed as from PAYPAL ENGINEERING.

To PO'ed I have a couple of questions i would like to ask you off this site to see if we have visited the same places. I was out of town for a few days when my card numbers were taken.

Just found a charge for nearly $600 "through" PayPal for a company I HAD used, but phone number on transaction is this one, not real company's number.Transaction does not show on my PayPal account. Charges being disputed now at bank.

This number was linked to a fradulent charge on my debit card for $380.
My bank is investigating.... Hopefully I get my money back.

I think this is happening thru face book games. when you buy extra credits frfor your games and use your credit card number they have your number. Do not buy face book games for credit card numbers!!!@!

After looking at my credit card charges online I saw there were two described as PayPal transactions a week apart.  One for 'Professional services' PayPal *MaxCreditLL with this phone number for $24.06.  The other was for 'Transportation' PayPal *QCTrust for $24.74.  I called my credit card customer service number and disputed the charges.  They cancelled the card and are investigating.  These people frequently start by charging small amounts before escalating to larger amounts.

Just reviewed my account and this a***ole room money from me. I contacted police, my bank and AT&T as I believe they are the source of this number. AT&T will flag number but they said he's using another courier. I think everyone should contact their state representative and ask them to submit a bill requesting that phone numbers such as this a** hole's not only be permanently removed but they they take responsibility for having it in their Nam and or press charges.  I don't even have a pay pal account but when I call I was left on hold and they did nada. Stop using PayPal and watch you money. You work hard for it and this a***ole is getting rich from the sweat of your back. The PayPal a***ole hiding behind the name of DIZZEESPAYPAL.

Received a fictitious charge on my business account for $35.50.  It was listed as a PayPal charge with a phone number of 402.935.2244. Strangely it followed a legitimate PayPal payment with a similar number, 402.935.XXXX Per the Internet postings, I reported it to my bank and got a credit.  I'm a retire police officer and twenty-years as a private investigator.  Now I understand why ID theft experts say not to deal through PayPal.

got a credit card charge for 536.22 for Pay Pal - joke is I don't have a pay pal account.  Waited 25 minutes to speak to someone in the fraud dept. at pay pal.  Was told my credit card information was given over a mobile device  (402) 935-2244..  Pay pal had no further information (name on the account using my credit card, etc.)  Their suggestion was to cancel card through bank.  THANKS FOR NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Really can't believe Pal Pal's lack of interest in this matter since it is obvious many are complaining about someone using this phone number and making fraudulant charges.  
Pay Pal sucks and I will recommend all my friends and family to stop doing business with them.

I just had a charge posted to my account in amount of 165.46 under innovationi through payypal. it has the same number 402-935-2244.

   I too have just found a fraudulent charge on my VISA.  Like all others, a PayPal account from "Colleen Gore".   It may be a coincidence but I did make a legitimate purchase on EBay two days before this Fraudulent charge and used PayPal.  I haven't used my PayPal account for months and then this.
   The common thread seems to be PayPal.

I had a small fraudulent charge listing this same phone number hit my checking account. It was listed as PayPal *Hogpal. I checked my PayPal account and there was no payment listed there. They are using PayPal's name to make it seem more legitimate. Of course, the number goes straight to a system message saying that there is not a valid voicemail box set up. My bank is on it.

Fraudulent charge of $437 from Paypal Keianas Handbags and Accessories 402 935 2244. Scum of the earth. No one will do anything about it because we can get our money back and we don't actually incur a loss. That makes no sense to me because if someone took money from my purse and I chased them down and got it back they would still be committing a crime of attempted theft right? Paypal gave me an email address though- keb0027@gmail.com. If anyone is a computer genuis we might be able to figure out who it is.

i was also charged via paypal to my credit card with "bella fiore" as the recipient. not noted on my paypal (which goes thru my bank anyway not my cc) for 196$--called credit card company & cancelled cc--they will close account. what a hassle & sad state of affairs.
may they be caught & held responsible. i as also charged for 2 mixers from a company & product sent to LA--not my home.

Yes they can do something - they can reverse the charges!  This was a fraudulent withdrawal - don't let them fob you off by saying they can't do anything.

Had $1000.00 taken from my checking account today.  The charge was to 'TAMMYRAPP47 402-935-2244' via my PayPal account and it was charged out of CA.  My bank is awesome and is refunding my money within 24 hours.
