Getting similar calls. What I can't figure out is WHY aren't the phone carriers these "solicitors" use fined for allowing use of their phone lines for these apparently fraudulent calls which are at the least unsolicited.

A few minutes on Google reveals that 402-982-0420 is registered to a telecom carrier named Citistream Communications Inc., 1625 Farnam Street Suite 860, Omaha NE 68102 USA Fax: 402-982-0215, Tel: 402-982-0200. httlinksnotallowed://linksnotallowed.citistreamlinksnotallowed/CallCenter_Services.html The scammers who are driving us insane with their repeated calls are not calling from this company. They are calling from a telemarketing company in India for which Citistream provides the telecom service. I called Citistream’s complaint line at 402-982-0200 and was put through to a man named David who appeared to take my complaint seriously. Their e-mail address for complaints about their telemarketer clients is legal@citistreamlinksnotallowed Their website says: Appreciate it if you can provide the following information to determine if any of our numbers are getting spoofed or abused or to determine source of the call. It is important for you to please provide complete requested as follows: (1) Number on the caller ID, (2) Name on the Caller ID, (3) Number called, (4) Date / time call was made / time zone. It may not take too many more angry complaint calls to David at 402-982-0200 or e-mails to legal@citistreamlinksnotallowed to convince Citistream to cancel the account that calls us from 402-982-0420 and drop them as a client. So, next time you get one of these calls, turn it around and call David at 402-982-0200! Don’t just sit there and be pissed off, take action – now that you know where to take it!

I have called the number back and pressed one as directed to be taken off the list, Almost a month later I am still getting daily calls from this number. Who is it and how can I speak to someone there

"402-982-0420, MSL Promotions" comes up on my caller id has called my five (5) times today and it is only 4PM. Tired of receiving calls and hang ups.

It is a phishing scam, for sure. Be careful if you have kids in your house that answer the phone while you are away. Especially if the number has been calling and disconnecting when you answer. I've had this number call while I was away from the house, my 17 year old answered the phone and eventually was asked for his SSN. Luckily my son was just messing with the guy and wasn't listening to his sales pitch - as soon as the mention of his SSN came up - he disconnected the call. They continue to call and every time I answer - they disconnect from their end. They are hoping to get a vulnerable person on the phone or their phone system is terrible and only allows them to fully connect 1/5 of their calls... Either way, it's annoying and frustrating.

Have been receiving calls all week long with no one on the other end, immediately hangs up when call is answered.  Called back TN and received message "thank you for calling, if you would like to be removed for our preferred marketing list, press 1."  How did my work DID number end up on this "preferred marketing list"?  What is being marketed?

I called back and got a recording if I don't want further calls... hit #1...

this number keeps on call not saying anything then hangs up. has been going on for week now. it has got to stop please

same thing. keeps calling, never answers when I say hello then disconnect. We even have a private, non listed number and blocked number going out so how did they get our number I wonder. It's getting annoying. Reverse look up shows it comes from Omaha, NE landline and is a unpublished number

This number keeps calling my house. Nobody every answers when I say hello, so now I just pick up the phone and lay it down. After a minute or so I hang up...sick of all these calls!

402 982 0420 calls me a lot...I found out it is a marketing place. Do not answer them . U legally give them the right to harass you

I got a call-no one answered-called them back and got "if you want to be on the "do not call list" press#1"..which I did..lets see what happens.

Scammers. To get rid of them/make the calls stop, simply answer your phone, "____ County Sheriff's Dept (or Police Dept). Do you have an Emergency?" The calls will stop immediately, because they know that they can be prosecuted for soliciting an emergency response center (911 center). I actually do work for a police department, and when I answered the phone as we're supposed to, I heard the computer signal that indicates their auto-call system is removing the number from it's data-base.

These jerks are part of a ring of telemarketers that share your phone number with each other.  Once one of them get it, all of them get it.  I just called this number back and got a "if you no longer wish to receive calls from us press one" message.  All pressing one would do is verify to them they have a valid phone number.  For now I'm entering them in my phone and setting it to ring off.  This is like an Internet SPAM ring, about all you can do is change your phone number.  Mine is a Magicjack so I'll have them do it, for those still with land-lines I'd call your carrier and ask that they block all calls from area codes outside yours.  Several of them also have a service where callers will have to enter a name on their system before it will ring your phone.  Worth a shot, best of luck.

The person calling from this number is a scammer. He said I had won a $500 grocery voucher.  He wanted my address to send the voucher to, then he asked me for my credit card number and expiration date to verify that I had a Visa card so that he could send me the voucher.
Definitely criminal.

I keep getting calls from this number that my cell phone was chosen to win $200.00 I've told them to remove me from list and everyday like clockwork i receive a call

They have called me 3 times today, so far!!!  No voicemails.  Haven't answered.

Got a call two days in a row. First day I actually spoke with Latino women; when I heard her voice and didn't recognize it, I hung up. They called again yesterday at about 8:30 a.m. and this time I didn't answer. No message. Did a search online and found this website...thanks for the heads up. I'm blocking her number from my phone.

got two calls from this number too today and they left no message. I tried calling back but says # is disconnected. Very irritating!

I got 4 calls from this #. every time saying that I was selected for a $200.00 gas card. then the men with very heavy accents kept on asking for my visa card #s. i told them if they want, they can send the voucher, but I am not giving my card #. We kept arguing and I hung up.

Got the call twice yesterday and twice today.  I've pretty much ignored any long distance number showing on my caller ID since I get so many calls from just this kind of number.  I'm very tempted to pick up the phone next time and answer with, "Federal Bureau of Investigation, Dallas branch.  How may we help you?"  See if they either engage in a conversation or hang up and never call again.

These calls all come from citistream communications.  Their President is Krishna Amancheria, a man by the same name is also employed by Lincoln Electric.  If these calls are irritating you I would suggest you call him at work and express your disatisfacion.  The number for lincoln electric is 402 475 4211 just asked to be forwarded to Krishna.  If enough people harrass this scum sucker maybe we could cost him his legitimate job while letting him know exactly how irritating this crap is.

got a call early on the 16th than later the same day picked up the man spoke with a foreign accent and told me i have won a 500 dollar grocery gift card and needed a one time 5 95 shipping and handling fee so i proceeded to tell him i will go to my grocery store and get a visa gift card which is recognized as a credit card and if it is a one time bill whats the big deal we got into an argument and than he hung up what a goon i would of gave it to him but he backed out

i am more than ready to threaten some people not saying i am going to but damn i am ready just getting so angry of people trying to get my money and what not this guy trying to con me i am ready to buy a plane ticket and get something done
