I received a call from this number, too.  I, also, filed a complaint with the FCC & the National Do Not Call Registry as soon as I received the call.  Anyone that receives a call from this number should do the same.  The only way to stop these horrible people is to REPORT THEM.

I have received repeated call from these "magazine companies." After telling four people I didn't have any at all and being hung up on, I played them. I wen along, and answered all their questions, trying to figure out their scam. They didn't know which magazines I subscribed to. They didn't know how much I payed either. So when I told them my "drop in price to $29 monthly was an increase she was lost. Finally they wanted to verify my credit card info. She said they only knew the first four digits. Then only one, after asking how I was paying. 4 for Visa and it would be 5 for MasterCard. This is obviously a scam.

These people have been calling my house for about 3 months same phone number and every thing. so one day i answered and the guy said he needed to do a quick survey... so i did the survey, the survey wanted my current employment my age and what credit card i prefer to use most, big mistake. after the survey he said i had a subscription for some long period of time and i was going to be paying 3.99 a week i said no i want to cancel. the guy on the phone then said i will have to transfer you to my supervisor, the guy then hits a couple of buttons on the phone and hangs up. lucky the supervisor then calls back and wanted to know how well the survey went i said fine. then i started to question the supervisor on this company and how do cancel my subscription he said i verbally agreed and it is too late to cancel and i'am locked in and then hangs up on me after i start trying to figure out how this company has my information. This company needs to be shutdown and prosecuted before they a.

I keep getting calls like all the rest.  My son made the mistake of giving info like age and job so now they keep that in a database s they can call back like they know who he is and tries to trick him continously.  He is special needs, but finally knows not to give up any personal info at all.  Not even to confirm the phone number, age, address, etc.

I got a call at about 2:30 central time this afternoon from this number. I missed the call but no message was left. They called back at about 7:30 and said all of the same stuff and then when the supervisor asked about the monthly payments, I said I paid everything up front on my subscriptions and she hung up.

I see from previouse messages that these scam imbeciles, this routine is so inept the word artist isn't even appropriate, have been at it since November and no one has traced these morons down and put them out of harms way.  I find myself wondering several things, like with millions unemployed are we employing the best possible people in law enforcement

Some Tips to Avoid Telemarketing Fraud:
It's very difficult to get your money back if you've been cheated over the phone. Before you buy anything by telephone, remember:
Don't buy from an unfamiliar company. Legitimate businesses understand that you want more information about their company and are happy to comply.
Always ask for and wait until you receive written material about any offer or charity. If you get brochures about costly investments, ask someone whose financial advice you trust to review them. But, unfortunately, beware -- not everything written down is true.
Always check out unfamiliar companies with your local consumer protection agency, Better Business Bureau, state Attorney General, the National Fraud Information Center, or other watchdog groups. Unfortunately, not all bad businesses can be identified through these organizations.
Obtain a salesperson's name, business identity, telephone number, street address, mailing address, and business license number before you transact business. Some con artists give out false names, telephone numbers, addresses, and business license numbers. Verify the accuracy of these items.
Before you give money to a charity or make an investment, find out what percentage of the money is paid in commissions and what percentage actually goes to the charity or investment.
Before you send money, ask yourself a simple question. "What guarantee do I really have that this solicitor will use my money in the manner we agreed upon?"
You must not be asked to pay in advance for services. Pay services only after they are delivered.
Some con artists will send a messenger to your home to pick up money, claiming it is part of their service to you. In reality, they are taking your money without leaving any trace of who they are or where they can be reached.
Always take your time making a decision. Legitimate companies won't pressure you to make a snap decision.
Don't pay for a "free prize." If a caller tells you the payment is for taxes, he or she is violating federal law.
Before you receive your next sales pitch, decide what your limits are -- the kinds of financial information you will and won't give out on the telephone.
It's never rude to wait and think about an offer. Be sure to talk over big investments offered by telephone salespeople with a trusted friend, family member, or financial advisor.
Never respond to an offer you don't understand thoroughly.
Never send money or give out personal information such as credit card numbers and expiration dates, bank account numbers, dates of birth, or social security numbers to unfamiliar companies or unknown persons.
Your personal information is often brokered to telemarketers through third parties.
If you have information about a fraud report it to state, local, or federal law enforcement agencies.

And just like 321 872 3219 -  I am going to file a complaint on 402 892 0457  with the FCC, with the do not call registry, and I am going to send a letter to each state attorney and report each telephone number that constantly calls my phone number with their lies...  These people are scam artist and are wasting my time!!!!  NO MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was contacted by sabrina from magazine connection and she said I owed a monthly fee of 16.00 dollars and was going to lower my fee to 13.00 dollars. She new my address, full name and said that my subscription to maxim and four other subscriptions that she could not name off the top of her head because she was just a supervisor, anyways she needed the security number off the back of my card . So I told her I had misplaced my card and to call back. She called back and was the same girl, sabrina, so I asked her to be transferred to billing and she said the bill will be sent out she was just calling about billing info. Ok so I know that I'm subscribed through national magazine exchange, so I asked what I was subscribed to she still could not answer the question. I told her to cancel my subscriptions and that I think her business is bogus and fraudulant and sabrina hung up on me. This is a fake do not trust them.

I received this call from 402-982-0457 and on the caller ID it read Circulation which I had no idea so we never picked up. I then researched the number which led me here. Reading all the comments made me believe they were truly scam so I wanted to try it out for myself. I tried to call back the number and all it says in an automated message was " if you wish to be placed on our do not call list press 1". It would not even allow me to speak to anybody that is human. I wanted to really to speak to someone to screw with them and piss them off. oh well.

See, they just called me, and being a student, I don't live at home often. So, when they asked about my magazine subscription, I told them that I don't actually receive any of my magazines, and can't tell them if I'm happy with them or not. When I told them this, they asked if I had formally change my address, and I told them no. (A while back, I subscribed to Game Informer, but for whatever reason the company I was with no longer distributed it, and started sending Maxim. I'm a girl. And I certainly don't want to receive it. I assumed what this phone call was about.)

The woman I talked to was polite, and asked me how old I was, and then I cut her off asking if I could cancel my subscription. She then forwarded me to the supervisor. The supervisor asked if the first woman was polite, and I said yes. She then started asking about my card, and if there was a middle initial, and when it expires. I then inquired about canceling the subscription, and she said that it is not possible to cancel. She then asked again for my card information, and being that it sounded like a scam, I lied and told her that I didn't have my card on me, and that she'd have to call back.

I then called my home and asked my mom if we had been receiving any more magazines in my name, and she said 'no.' With that, I decided to call back, but it took me to a recorded message as stated in other posts.

This is definitely not a legit company. With my interactions with them, they were very polite. If they hadn't made me suspicious, and I hadn't been receiving a magazine that I didn't want in the first place, they probably could've gotten all the information they needed to screw me over. As stated in other posts I have seen, I think it linked to Maxim.

They've called me twice in the last week.  Their "sell" is that my 5 year magazine subscriptions were set to end prematurely and they wanted to warn me that someone else might be calling me to scam me into renewing my subscription with them.  The thing is, I never signed up for 5 years.  I don't think any magazine out there even offers 5 year subscriptions.  But like everybody else here says, once I told them that, they thanked me for my time and hung up immediately.

Just tell them you have already payed for your magazines and they will leave you alone. I NEVER get my magazines from over the phone, there is always some discount on the internet from reputable marketing companies. I also NEVER give my CC to anyone who calls me. If I want to buy/pay for something, I call them.

Same as everyone else.  Credit dept from 'my' magazine publisher.  I asked which publisher and they stumbled and finally said Maxim.  Sorry not a publisher and not a magazine that I subscribe to.  I just asked if they wanted a credit card # and they hung up.  Why aren't these guys shut down already?

This phone number, and whatever company this is keeps calling me, after saying several times that they have the wrong number. This IS harrasment, and the calls need to STOP. I work for a call center and 'No AF Phone' or 'Take me off your list' means DO NOT CALL ANYMORE! this is unbelievable, this is the dumbest scam, by far.
