For the "umpteenth" time, rec'd a call from this company, offering to lower credit card rates.  Again disrupting operations here at work - a hospital.  How many times do we have to say "remove these numbers from your list?"  More than that, why should they have the right to randomly call???!!!  So tired of these calls!  Incidentally, I told the young woman (who had a foreign accent, wonder where she was located) that I had requested our numbers be removed in the past, w/o success.  She said she would remove it immediately.  We'll see!

Received a call from this number on my cell phone; I did not answer as I did not know who it was. Think it must use a random dialer as I have given out my cell phone number to only three people (all family members). No message was left. I'm glad I did not answer and waste my minutes on this foolishness.

Picked up. Its a recording. States that there is no issue with my credit card. And that it will expire soon. If I call now they can lower the interest rate on the balance i have. Did not identify who they were.

Called and hung up.  No caller ID.

I called the number back and it's some kind of credit card company whose recorded pitch is "due to recent legislation, we can offer credit card rates as low as 5 percent!"

Trying to talk you into giving personal account information on credit cards, asking for social security number and account numbers but will not tell you who they work for, give you their names, or any call back information.

Called my work phone after 5pm and left the majority of their message on the corporate voicemail.

have recieved several calls from this number. one was an advertisement because of new regulations from the Obama administration to offer some type of credit card service, I hung up in mid sentence, got another that evening did not answer, I have called my cell phone provider concerning these types of calls ,they said they cannot block, so I save them to my phone as phishing and set NO RING on he tone . If they call i don't hear it. Not sure what else I can do..

I just opened a Bank of America account last month and got the first 402-982-0694 call to my personal cell phone 5 minutes ago. I am LIVID!

I just spoke to a guy there, just out of curiousity, as I owe nothing to any credit card company.  Upon answering the call, the guy asked why I was calling, and I told him that I was just returning the call (simply because, they expect that anyway).  He said that the offer is through Debt Free Life Forever.  He then proceeded to asking for the name of the Credit card companies to whom I am indebted.  I said Discover.  He asked how much, I responded, $4k, he then said they can offer me a deal that allows me to pay less per month, but that my acceptance of this deal would cancel my account.  I said, but "NO, I don't want the account cancelled."  He insisted that the offer is for those who want to cancel their account, and stay debt-free; but that I "can always re-open the account." Now, that sounds like crookery to me. Any way, he said that I would pay $200 first, and then, $137.00 per month, for 48 months.  Now do the math:  137X48=6576 + (the one-time $200, which he called the processing fee).  This means that they are charging helplessly broke people $6776.00 on a $4000.00 debt.  How is this a better deal than the initial creditor's??????  Thieves!!!!!

They just called my work balckberry which is only a month old and only utilized to receive e-mail. they randomly dial, I don’t think your number needs to be listed. I believe it is one of those scams. it says to press 1, DO NO TPRESS ANYTHING, some scams when you press a sequence of numbers allows the called access to use your number to make calls. Check you bill and make sure this is not happening, if so bring it to the attention of you phone provider and have the number blocked

This scammer is spoofing.  My caller ID shows the person calling as 1-877-392-0681 but the actual number making the call to be 14029820479.

It's a Credit Card company that is making unsolisted calls

Got called today, 9/3/10, but I didn't pick up. This has happened in the past (8/2/10) from this same phone number. I picked up and got a recording. I quickly hung up.

You must say "please put me on your do not call list" not "please take me off your call list".  If you ask them to take you off their call list they will do so, then put you on another call list and it is all legal.  If you ask them to put you on their do not call list, they have to do it (atleast that is the theory).

Called my work mobile phone (unlisted) 5 times in 30 minutes. I did not answer. Did not leave a message.
