I answered by mistake thinking it was from a business in Nebraska.  No one responded when I said hello.

Called in to my company's tech support call center.  The CSR who took the call says it played about 15 seconds of reggae music before she hung up.

Received call on my cell. I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.

Repeatedly (weekly)calls my cell phone during business hours (called again this morning) with automated message - no existing business relationship, should not be calling. No way to get off list!

Sometimes the caller ID says "MRK Research" and other times is says "CMS RES".  Since it's election season, my guess is that it's a polling company or robo-call provider.  Can't wait for November 3rd!

It's from "Survey RC" Google them and you'll find they are spammers. Even if you stay on the line and complete their questionnaire, there is no way to be removed from their list.

HOWEVER, if you call the number back, it asks if you'd like to be removed. I did it and it said it worked. We'll see.

I recently put my home up for sale and have a website to promote it. I am able to check visitors to the website and their location. I kept getting a visitor from just outside of Witchita and thought that was really odd bc my home is in the south east. Not long after listing the home I started getting calls from out of state number with ID's like "telecom", "Research" and various abbreviation. Got on from this number this morning so decided to look it up. Lo & behold the call is orginating from just outside of Witchita. I don't know what they are calling about as I don't answer the calls and they don't leave a message, but I do know how they found me! Through that website. Good thing I had a second line (distinctive ring) specifically for the sale of the home. As soon as the house sells the number will be disabled. I really hate spammers! >:-|

Had to block area codes 402 & 406 on my VoIP system because of these morons.  I still see calls every to weaks or so on my dids.

They've been calling my house for over a year. I've repeatedly tried to get on their do-not-call list, but they won't take it off. We went through all of motions a bunch of time.

If you want them to stop calling you, just don't answer, but call back. There will be an automated message. You can press 1 to get your number off their list. I just did that this morning, but I don't know if they will honor that statement.

Calls me several times a week. I never answer any calls that are not in my cell phone book.

Apparently you did not understand that you were participating in a scam, not a survey. The so-called survey collects information about you that will be used by these scammers and sold to other scammers. The fact that you actually went through the "survey" makes you a target for scammers.

Couple of other points ... the "survey" is a lame attempt to get around the DNC list, since (real) surveys are exempt. Of course, this is not a survey at all. It is in fact a solicitation, once you "accept" the so-called "gift card", they will attempt to scam you out of much more money, the "gift" has no real value, and actually has negative value because it would have cost you plenty.

Good that you declined the "gift" card. Bad that you participated in the survey.

NO ONE WHO CALLED CALLS YOU WILL EVER PROVIDE A BENEFIT. Never. No exceptions. This is solely a vector for SCAMS. Never answer surveys unless you are absolutely sure of the identity of those conducting the survey and how the information you provide will be used.

And by the way expect a lot more junk phone calls, they'll be coming your way very soon!

Not worth the time. After the survey I was offered a $200 gift card towards a purchase form Caribbean Cruise Lines (not Royal Caribbean).

I have a Skype number on my PC so I can call out from home (bad cell reception).  This number called my Skype number.  I didnt answer.

I went through the motions, providing false information of course, and by the third step, received a "Confirmation" letter containing the initial phone representative's ID #. I called another number listed on one of the "Contact Us" pages (which I am now unable to re-locate) and pursued it until I was able to get patched through to that employee (and one of her co-workers gave her name). Once she realized they can be tracked, she "removed" me from their list.

Just be aggressive. On the whole, this took me about 30 mins.

After questions they refer you to a rep. who gets your name, phone number (that they just called), zip and tell you a travel agent will be calling to make arrangements for your two boarding passes to a cruise.
Automated voice (your ?Captain?) then returns and directs you to a website: www.surveyclaim.com
You log in with the info you previously provided the rep. (phone number and zip).
It asks you if you are interested in receiving information on a number of products (I?m sure this will mean a ton of telemarketing henceforth if you provide ?yes? as your response).
Then shows this:
     "Congratulations, you have successfully completed the registration process and have been issued a 2 day 2 night all inclusive Grand Bahamas Island Cruise. Your information has been forwarded to Imperial Majesty Cruise Lines for processing. One of their Cruise Coordinators will be contacting you within the next 72 hours to go over all the information regarding booking your complimentary Cruise.

Don't even waste your time trying to contact them. In order to get your phone  number removed, you have to proved an email addy, to which instantly gets spammed to high heaven.

They have been calling my office for YEARS! Have tried NUMEROUS times to get them to stop!
