How did Durham Police respond?

Looks like they're targeting the Hamilton area at this ungodly hour.  12:38am for me.  Not impressed at all.  I called back but the voice on the other end said that the party is not answering...please try again later.  Must be nice to not be answering after scaring all of us!!

got the same call - 1207 am - dead air, I phoned back the number, also received dead air

They called and said that thery were a co from toronto selling windows and doors simulating a telemarketer

Exacky the same with me and I got the call march 1st. I'm also on the do not call list but they change the number to make it difficult to track.

It's calling me every other day

(402) 982-0506   called my number twice before, I thought it was my inlaws in Florida to sat they've arrived, till I looked up the area code.  It's in Omaha.  First time few days ago was creepy "thank you" computer voice, then hang up.  Then 20mins ago call came again, I was ready to tear a strip outta whoever called.  A person was there with an East Indian accent asking if I wanted a free window replacement estimate.  Since my house is new, I said no and hung up.

Now I think what's going on is the first call is to get a "confirmation" of a "live" land line.  Then subsequent calls are telemarkers.   With VOIP available to the world now, it's not hard for a "company" to register a land line and use it with VOIP from overseas.  So it looks like they've figured out how to by pass the Do Not Call List many of us have registered with.

They do not have to obey the "do not call" list as they are calling from the US.

got this call at 8 38 pm - no caller id so I didn't pick up.  The area code is Nebraska

i sit in silence and ask "hello" and all i hear at the end is "thankyou" in a creepy computer voice, then they hang up.. the number also has this V01222208540012 before the 1402982-0506 which shows up on my caller id. THey called at 11 o clock at night. When everyone was sleeping.

Shows how much you know... this machine was likely calling THOUSANDS of phone call possibilities. It's called an auto-dialer and checks which numbers are valid. There are also otherways to find lists of numbers that are supposedly "unlisted"

Just think... area code: 416, exchange 665. Then have your autodialer call all numbers in that exchange to see which are valid, Then market to them at a later time.

I got a call from this number and want to know who called?

This number called me last night at 6:00pm (I am in Ajax, Ontario, Canada) I have been on the Do Not Call  List for a long time (and registration has not expired). He said his name from Mike from Deluxe Windows and Doors. I asked him to remove my number from his list and he hung up on me. I called the Toronto number this morning 416-665-0909 and spoke to Chris (Supervisor of Marketing) and had him "manually" remove my number from his list. He said that his list does comply with the Do Not Call List, I told him to take a look at this website - obviously it doesn't. I am reporting this company. Their calls have gone on for a while now to Do Not Call Registered folks by the looks of the complaints on here......

I got 6 of these calls and finally answered one it was Deluxe Windows and told them I was not interested. I then received 4 more from the same number   402 982 0506 so I have but the address of the local police station and address by my phone and will give them my name (not real) and the address next time they call.  I will be happy to have one of their salespeople make a sales call there .

Got the call and picked it up. Says calling from 'Deluxe Windows and Doors'. Looks like my DNC Registry is not working right. How can I complain? Anyway it's blocked.

they're calling to decipher the pattern for when you're at home so they can rob you.

402-982-0506 calls me every day and I get a lot of noise and then someone saying hello into my answering machine.  I don't answer these calls.  They have called as late as 9:30 here

It seems the the DNL isn't being effective as I am still getting about 6 telemarketers calling me daily!!
