I've just come into contact with him, and he seems shady as hell.

Got a call with no msg on a prepaid cell phone so obviously ignored it. Then reverse phone search at www.whitepages.com/reverse-lookup and found out ...Its a Omaha Nebraska Landline #, Omaha houses many telemarketers of get rich quick schemers aka real estate, trading, etc seminars so guessing maybe one of them as I am on few of their lists having wasted my time few years back before with some of them.

eh, yea!  I used to know Bob when he lived in Toronto!!

Got a call from this number on my work cell phone.  I stayed on the line to talk to a Matt who when asked who he was looking for said the name of my company and told me he could help lower % rates on my credit cards.  I told him I had none and he said "guess I can't help you" and he hung up.  Sounds shady to me.

I got the call on my Magic Jack, not my regular iPhone.

Whocallsme.com is tremendously helpful - I clicked you and saw this was a fake call, something that's illogical because I can't figure what the caller is doing this for.

I'd never, however, press #1 or do anything asked from the other end.

Called a second time.  Same thing.  Said hello several times.  Then a recording in Spanish.  I hung up

Received a call on MY SON's cell phone for some kind of credit card thing & he hung up on me.  Next Step, the cell phone do-not-call list.

Got calls from this no. numerous times no messages left. Whoever is calling pls knock it off!!!

got a call... didn't recognize the number and let it go to v/m. No msg lft. Spammer/marketer- No one has this number but close fam. How do you make these go away?!?

I got a call from this number just a few seconds ago. A recording told me it was from a credit card company and wanted to speak with me about recent activity on my current Visa, Master Card, or Discover card. I selected I'd like to speak with an agent and when someone answered, I asked what credit card they were calling from and he promptly hung up on me. I've gotten calls like this before, and usually it just hangs up on me when I select "talk to an agent."

I just got a call from these guys... There was some guy on the other line telling me that I needed to call them to keep my house out of foreclosure... the thing is, I don't own a home and I am not or is anyone in my family in need of foreclosure help.

Did you know the Federal Trade Commission has a new law, as of September 1st:

"Robocalls" to consumers have been banned.  Unless the telemarketer has written permission from a customer that he or she wants to receive these calls, Violaters will face penalties of up to $16,000 per call.

You have been reported to the FTC.  Please everyone, report this incident and help the FTP to investigate this annoyance.

ugh... it bothers me that i dont know who they are and they didnt leave a voicemail.. pretty weird.. when i call back it says " call can't be completed as dialed, please check the number and dial again". >:|

When you answer the phone, they claim to be calling about your foreclosure and helping you save your house.  Thing is, I have never even been late on my mortgage. lol.  So I pressed one to talk to a rep.  A lady answered and I asked where they got the information about me being in foreclosure, because I wasn't.  And she hung up.  I called the number back and the only option is to be removed from the list.  I have "removed" myself from the list several times now but still get calls. And I have always been on the DNC list.

Oh well!

I have been getting these calls from various numbers. They have hacked into my spacebook and into my contacts in my sell phone.

it was an automated message saying how i could refinance my home if i was in trouble with my mortgage payments.... ok, um, i don't OWN a home and have never had a mortgage in my life.... said press 1 to speak to a "specialist".... some trailer trash lady gets on the phone, i explain to her that i don't own a home, she says to me "yeah, good for you, lose the attitude" and hung up. WOW. i was laughing and she thought i had an attitude. well.... i guess a postive IQ is not required when calculating mortgage payments. that's really scary.

THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT TELL THEM ANY INFO - THEY ARE TRYING TO GET YOUR BANK INFO. Everytime they call I tell them I don't carry a balance and the hang up. How do i get my number off? I get these calls every week - I have a client in NEbraska so I always take the 402 number calls.

I just got a call and they didn't say anything

They have called me three times today.  The first time it was an automated call saying they had information on my credit cards (LIARS.. no you don't) so I waited and then talked to someone, I immediately said, Take me off your calling list... then they just hung up...   the second time the line was dead, and the last time, another robo call.  I pressed 2 or whatever to have my number removed.. Yeah, like that will do any good.  These jerks need to stop.  I recommend following my lead and filing a complaint with the FTC
